22.01.2022 Damn! its different this time. In a BAD way. Unlike the other lockdown re-openings we have just witnessed the total loss of faith in longer term freedom of movement / gathering. A wedding cancellation wipe-out all the way to November! Since the announcement today, and now (just hours), we have lost more than 72 bookings relating to cancelled weddings.... It's horrendous for everybody! The couples and their families, the venues, caterers, florists, celebrants etc... and us of course. Like always we will prevail and hope to welcome independent travelers but WOW... days like this unravel so much work, so many emails and conversations, so much planning and of course so much income for us and our treasured team. You indicate left on the Ringwood bypass, merge on to the Maroondah Hwy....and drive. You indicate right on to the Warburton Highway...and drive... then you turn into our driveway. 11.01.2022 R.I.P Cheetah - Executive General Manager of the Warburton Human Shelter (Motel). Cheetah supervised the Motel for about 15 years. Since we took over 3 years ago he still visited every day to check on his servants. He has taken up a new role supervising the Motel in the sky ... Many of our guests will know and love Cheetah and his fat guts will be missed PS - he was alive in that photo, just dreaming of being a Cheetah in the afterlife after reading up.

For the guests that have walked the beautiful River Trail from the Motel into town centre (15 mins) you’d know that you’d normally be on that bridge looking down a few metres to the River. Amazing!!!

04.01.2022 Loving seeing all the action over on the Bike and Hike page. People are excited about getting back outside and we are equally excited about facilitating it. In the three years that we’ve been at the Motel now we have been listening carefully to our guests about what they’d love to do whilst here.
