The announcement to push the stage 2 opening of the hospitality sector up to this Friday has taken us a little by suprise. ... As the relaunch has taken a lot of planing and scheduling, we aren’t going to be able to relaunch the tavern any sooner than planned. We really do apologies for this inconvenience, we are excited to get back to hosting your evenings, functions, lunches and just all round good times, and we will announce very soon the date of our relaunch. 17.01.2022 Yes we are finally reopening! This Thursday, being the 18th, we will begin our regular opening hours. Please be advised, we will only be offering bistro and alcohol service for the first few weeks until restrictions ease, there will be no keno, poker machines or TAB.... Also parmi night and happy hour are being suspended until restrictons ease. We’ll see you then

Kicking off at 5.40 tonight we have the Blues looking to cement their place in the top 8 with a win over the Hawks, but with a late scare from the seriously out of form Roos last week, will Clarko’s men be able to get the job done?... And then for our Friday Night Footy Promotion, we have a blockbuster with flag favourite Lions taking on the Bombers. The Don’s were given a late run for their money last week, nearly giving the Crows their first win of the season and were decimated against the Dogs the previous week, will they regain their form? 11.01.2022 SCAM ALERT WARNING!! Good morning everyone, This is just a warning, there is a new scam going around. If you receive a call from a random mobile number which answers with an automated message saying you are in trouble over your tax file number being used for illegal purposes:... HANG UP! I personally recieved this call, it says this matter is time urgent and to press 1 to continue. I already knew by this point it was a scam, but thought I’d see what they had to say anyway. After pressing 1 I was diverted to a foreign sounding man who instantly requested my tax file number, I refused to give it, he asked me to hold on and simply hung up. These leeches are destroying lives of vulnerable people by gaining their personal details and using them to defraud them out of their hard earned savings. Please alert everyone you know to stop this from ruining the lives of your friends and family! Update: I tried recalling the mobile number that called me, it’s now disconnected.

It will be hard times for all, but as a community, we must stand together (but not too close ) and fight this thing head on. I will be honest, I personally have not taken this pandemic as serious as I should have, but we Tasmanian’s should be thanking our luck for being who we are and where we are. ... Follow the governments plans for containing the outbreak and we will be the among the first in the world to beat this thing as quickly as possible. With all the love we have for you, your families and for our great state, Wardeez wish you all the best for the future.
