22.01.2022 Two very exciting new works up on our website today - one by our oldest artist and one by our youngest artist who just happen to be Mabel Juli and her granddaughter Atlanta Umbulgurri. Both artists have depicted the Kimberley night sky with a moon and star. A motif which Mabel Juli has been gracing us with for decades, and one which Atlanta painted for the very first time this week. Intergenerational learning and cultural custodianship is one of the most important elements of... the work done here at Warmun Art Centre and it is always exciting to see this process in action. We can't wait to see what Mabel and Atlanta come up with next.
