23.01.2022 Oh, we're gonna brush our teeth!

22.01.2022 Think before you drink! Tooth decay is the most prevalent disease in Australia and it is totally preventable. High sugar consumption is just one of the many causes. Many of the drinks in this image also contain acids which weakens the enamel and put your teeth at further risk of decay.... If you are drinking these types of beverages, make sure to rinse your mouth with water after drinking and remember to never brush your teeth immediately after an acid exposure! Only you can take control of your oral health. Try to lessen your intake of these drinks, or even better - stick to water!

21.01.2022 Recent news in changes to Australian dental care. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) will be replaced by the Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme (CaPDS) with $2.1 Billion promised for the scheme over 5 years. It is not as good as it seems, read our next post to find out more.

19.01.2022 Don't let the government axe the Child Dental Benefits Schedule! The CDBS has allowed many children, especially those who are financially disadvantaged, to have access to free dental care. This isnt an area where the government should be trying to save money. Take the CDBS away and the health of these children will suffer greatly. Please help by clicking the link to sign the petition or better yet, help spread the message!

17.01.2022 Great news, the Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is set to continue next year!

14.01.2022 This is why the new Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme (caPDS) is not as good as it seems. "Its worth noting that the promised funding is for services only and does not provide additional money for infrastructure or personnel to deliver the additional services."

13.01.2022 Dr Ying and Dr George went to Goodstart Early Learning to talk to the children about good oral health today. We would like to thank Gina and her team for having us. We hope the children had a blast! See you next time!

11.01.2022 When was the last time you flossed your teeth? Bleeding gums are a sign of inflammation, we generally recommend to have your teeth professionally cleaned every 6-12 months!

02.01.2022 Not only is it important for children to receive dental treatment they need, the early education and exposure to healthy teeth habits secure a lifetime of benefits. The Australian Government intends to close the Child Dental Benefits Schedule from 1 July 2016. Call us to use up your remaining balance!

02.01.2022 Do you have private health cover? Following the increase in private health insurance premiums it may be time to reassess if it is the right choice for you. Dental fees over the years have not increased the same rate as private health cover premiums. Figures show that Australians use their private health cover for dental services more than any other health service. We do not have control over the rebate received, therefore allowing private health insurers to widen the gap payments for the purpose of their profitability and they seem to be doing this at their members expense. Have a read of this article by the Australian Dental Association.
