19.01.2022 Our Joeys at Warooga Southern River are learning how to share. Miss Fataneh and Miss Catarina prepared the pool inside as it too hot for them to play outside today. They have sand in a bucket and used the shovel to scoop the sand (gross motor skill) and shared with each other. Babies are developing their social skills by copying positive behaviour from an adult. Look how nicely they are playing with each other.



15.01.2022 On our 4th day of NAIDOC week at Warooga Southern River we did face painting. Miss Wynona and Miss Lauren are so talented, they made such beautiful paintings and the children were happy to wait for their turn.

15.01.2022 We congratulate Miss Fataneh at Warooga Southern River for arrival of her first granddaughter. The baby is very lucky to have her as grandmother. We wish her and her family the very best

14.01.2022 Today at Warooga Riverton we had a very busy day. We replanted our garden beds & tyres. We also talked about Remembrance Day & made some Poppies. In our tyres we planted flowers & in the garden beds we planted strawberries, cucumbers, lettuce, carrots and zucchini. We can't wait to watch them all grow



14.01.2022 Our 2-5 year olds at Warooga Riverton enjoyed some water play today, such perfect weather for it Water play is a sensory activity that allows children to make discoveries and explore outcomes. We set up seashells & sea creatures in the water table & balls in the shell pools

13.01.2022 Today at Warooga Riverton our Babies engaged in some bubble play. Bubbles are a great way for babies & toddlers to develop visual skills. For older babies the bubbles provide motivation to move. This experience covers gross & fine motor skills, spatial awareness along with hand-eye & foot-eye coordination. The fun of bubbles is a magical learning activity

06.01.2022 Our Joeys at Warooga Southern River are learning how to count. They used a prop to make it super fun and sang a song. Here Miss Fataneh uses the 5 fat sausages prop to teach them to count and she sings the song to make it interesting



05.01.2022 Our 2 year olds at Warooga Riverton created some poppies to commemorate Remembrance Day. We used paper plates to do this. This activity also engages the children's fine motor & colour recognition skills. Lest we forget.

02.01.2022 It’s our 3rd day celebrating NAIDOC week at Warooga Southern River. Children are making a rain stick. They decorating it with collage paper, pom-poms and buttons. They also painted it before filling it up with the rice.
