05.01.2022 Hi all, I am trying to solve some questions about my WINSALL family and a Warracknabeal boarding house. My g gm Ethel May WINSALL is photographed here at a boa...rding house in Warracknabeal. I would like to know if her family ran the boarding house or if she just worked there. Ethel lived in Warracknabeal from about 1886 until she and her husband Thomas FINN moved to Coburg 40 years later. Either way, she supposedly met my g gf there and he is also in the main photograph ( sitting on the hedge top left). The 2nd photo is supposed to be of Ethel's family. I think they were taken between 1902-1910? So my puzzle for you is: Does anyone know anything about this boarding house and the Winsall family's involvement in it? Who is the lady in the centre of the 'family' photo? She is not Ethel's mother as I have been told - she looks nothing like her! There is a young girl in both photos who's hair is cropped really short - does anyone know her story? Can anyone identify the properties? I have sharpened & colourised both.
