Upgrades include crow cams, valve springs , head and valves cleaned up, new head studs, gtx35/82r turbo, 1200cc injectors, bigger intercooler, inconel studs. Made 411 rwkw and 850 nm of torque at 17 psi on E85!

15.01.2022 Just done set of injectors on 150 series Prado (same engine in 05-15 Hilux). As you can see no 3 injector is carboned up on the shaft and if you look closely the sealing washer at the base is missing. Very common issue with 1KD engines, Toyota actually recommend replacing these washers every 40K. Once a washer fails carbon builds up in the engine oil as combustion gas gets past the injector and in extreme cases can cause a seized engine due to carbon blocking the oil pickup. Injector failure is the next step and you guessed it, engine failure can happen because of this as well.

02.01.2022 Hi Guys sorry havent posted in a while. Did a HPD intercooler upgrade on a GU zd30 the other day came up great. The old standard one was leaking so went with the larger one with a fan underneath, makes a big difference to combustion temps and a bit more torque even without a chip or tune.
