20.01.2022 Each speaker brought an example of the failure of the WA planning system. Some say it works perfectly, they’d be developers.

18.01.2022 WARRA attended a Town Hall Meeting held on Parliament steps in Perth this morning. Residents from all over shared their horror stories of how the planning system has failed them. We call on the state government to enact legislation to provide for 3rd Party Appeal Rights!

17.01.2022 I did believe last night when I saw the Upper house disallow Minsiter Templeman’s amendment to Regulation 9 that they were performing the gatekeeper function th...at all good democracies have. However the Hon Aaron Stonehouse is correct that the change to Regulation 9 had nothing to do with the City of Perth and everything to do with the Town of Cambridge’s decision to obtain independent legal advice when we believed the advice from the former CEO was unsound and motivated by his potential conflict of interest. In a sector that raises $2.4 billion each year in rates from the public - ratepayers have every right to expect transparency and accountability in public decision making. How could WALGA support the removal of this governance safeguard? #stopLGinsiderclub
