Chris Symons with the Funky Farm & Kevin and the likes of Bruce McAlvaney, The Payne family, etc... - the world should be easy to prove the positives and truth to. 03.01.2022 Found this old 'Sporting Globe' colourized photo of Phar Lap on the net, so I decided to copy it and see what I could do with it. It's in pretty ordinary condit...ion with scratches and the print colour had faded to a greenish tinge. The colours couldn't be improved so I took it back to black and white and photo-shopped out all the scratches, tears and blemishes. I then worked on the exposure, highlights, contrast and definition etc. Also Phar Lap's tail on the original didn't look real, probably painted on by the art dept at the 'Globe' for aesthetic appeal, so I made my own, with a much more realistic look. Changed the saddlecloth number to 1 as well. Took me about 5 hours to complete but I'm happy with the result. Another photo of the 'champ' for my collection. See more
