22.01.2022 Our Christmas preparations are well underway, how about you?
20.01.2022 UPDATED ADVICE 1st January 2021 Firstly, we extend our warmest wishes to all Warramunda family and friends for the New Year and sincerely hope you are all well. The escalating COVID situation for Victoria and NSW has resulted in new restrictions overnight.... The DHHS has released new guidance for Residential Aged Care across Victoria effective from 5pm yesterday. Restrictions are now in place at our home as a result of this advice and include: 1. Visits to our home are again restricted to 1 visitor, once per day for a maximum of two hours. 2. All staff are to resume wearing eye protection in addition to surgical masks. 3. Tier 3 PPE (including N95 masks) for symptomatic or suspected COVID Residents. 4. Enhanced screening measures for residents if they have visited Mentone, Mitcham or Hallam. 5. Visitor exclusion if they have visited or live in specific sites or locations 6. Essential care and end of life visits can be considered by individual arrangements with senior staff. We will continue to participate in asymptomatic COVID screening and sincerely thank our workforce that have volunteered to undertake this screening on previous occasions. To our families, friends and supporters, thank you for your support and encouragement to date. We are very sorry to be imposing these restrictions once again, however do so in accordance with DHHS guidance and importantly, in support of protecting the safety of Residents and our workforce. More information is available on the DHHS Coronavirus website: www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus Our team is calling families today to offer personal explanation of these restrictions, however please be encouraged to phone us should you have further questions. Please stay safe everyone and get tested if you display any symptoms. Sandi Websdale CEO

17.01.2022 Spring sunshine visits
15.01.2022 Update on our Visitor program in view of the Shepparton Cluster We are pleased to advise all Residents and Team Members are free of Covid 19 despite the evolving situation in Shepparton. However, we are disappointed to announce until we are clear on the situation in Shepparton and our surrounding area, we are temporarily suspending our visiting program for the next 4 days as a precautionary measure. This will be effective from today until Monday 19th October. We will review... our local situation on Monday 19th October and communicate further with our stakeholders then. We are also mindful that this Sunday 18th October, Victorians will hear an update on the RoadMap. Our decision to temporarily suspend our visiting program has been made to protect the health and welfare of our residents, team and all other people associated with Warramunda. Unfortunately, we have had members of our workforce furloughed because of attendance at one of these businesses or because of a household contact in quarantine. Fortunately, these team members have started to receive negative results for COVID-19. All of our team remain well and are asymptomatic. Our usual screening processes remain in place. Virtual visits through skype or facetime will continue, these appointments can be booked through our friendly administration team on (03) 5852 2611. Please feel free to speak to one of our senior management team if you require further information about Warramunda’s response to COVID-19 or our home in general. For updates on local high risk areas and COVID-19 updates in general please see The Victorian Government Coronavirus page. You can also call the coronavirus hotline: 1800 675 398. If you require a translator to help you, call the translating and interpreting service on 131 450 and ask for the coronavirus hotline. Kyabram District Health Service are running local COVID-19 testing clinics in Kyabram and Stanhope today. We appreciate your ongoing patience and understanding as we continue to monitor Victoria’s COVID-19 situation.
