23.01.2022 The third of our senior premiership heroes from last season was our 2nd XI. With just 2 wins after 7 rounds, they came home like a steam train, claiming an unexpected finals double chance thanks to a final round outright, then winning the QF and thus being awarded the premiership. Captained by the departing Campbell Holland, it was a fitting farewell for the club legend and life member, before he went up bush where he now rolls teams for 30. Congrats to all the award winners in another outstanding season last year.

23.01.2022 Senior teams for Saturday. Reminder of the Xmas party / P night Sat 19th. Click going on the facebook event so we know numbers. If you don't have facebook send us a fax.

23.01.2022 Come on Sophie! Live now on 7mate, Fox Cricket & Kayo Sports.

23.01.2022 Registrations are open for Warrandyte Woolworths Blast. Fingers are crossed that we can get started on field soon. Register early to receive your welcome pack. Great to have Shaun Ison back on board as our coach. I am also seeking a few extra volunteers for our sessions. Heaps of fun. Danny Weatherley... WCC Blast Coordinator https://www.playcricket.com.au/cricket-bla/junior-blasters

23.01.2022 On to the 6th XI, who like the 7s, just fell short in the big dance last season. But aptly led by our El Presidente, it was a great season after being winless after round 5. Please congratulate the following award winners in season 2019/20...

23.01.2022 Hi All, as an update on the annual Warrandyte Directory, run and managed by the Warrandyte Cricket Club we wanted to update all our directory businesses and community members on our current activities. Firstly, like nearly all, COVID has clearly delayed the output of the 2021 Directory, however we fully intend to still produce one for 2021 to continue on this great tradition. We are in a process of transitioning our backend management of the tool and accounts, but working thr...ough that to ensure the directory is a stable and great community product for many more years to come. To any businesses looking to discuss their relationship or normal postings on the directory, please feel free to give Ryan Hoiberg a call on 0420 691 909 to update any items or details, and I’ll ensure to be of assistance. Otherwise, we will be in touch with further details.

23.01.2022 If your sitting at home looking for something to watch this afternoon, watch Warrandyte’s own Sophie Day play for the Melbourne Stars against the Renegades! Go Soph!

22.01.2022 Our 5th XI, led by the dynamic duo of Drew & Rohan, had a great season in 2019/20, finishing 2nd on the ladder but getting knocked out in the semi. The co-captains cleaned up the batting & bowling awards, and gave themselves the fielding and captains awards too, until they were reminded they weren't allowed to do that. Congrats to all the award winners!

22.01.2022 One for the record books... In the long history of the Warrandyte Cricket Club, 4 stumpings in an innings has been a rarity... Previous to this season, it had happened on only four occasions...... Season Bowler Keeper 53/54 William Aumann Horace Smith 67/68 Alan Bellinger John Chapman 80/81 Robert McDonald Bruce A Kline 95/95 Mark Davis Russell Dorning And now, in Season 20/21 another combination joins the elite group... Well done to Luke Warren (bowler) and Patrick Grocott (keeper) for combining to snare 4 stumpings in an innings

22.01.2022 Did you know The Grand Hotel turns 125 years old this year?! This incredible photo takes us all the way back to our early days in 1910 and is on display in ou...r Kerry Bar. What's your earliest memory at The Grand? Hopefully we can celebrate our milestone birthday over a few cold ones with you all soon. Make sure you follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook to ensure you are kept up to date with all updates and announcements.

22.01.2022 As we are on the verge of a new season, and we take the field again to compete, we would not have the opportunity to be a club or community group without our sponsors. To all our partners, thank you so much for your ongoing support and we can’t wait to see you back down at the club as we continue into the season.

21.01.2022 Our star studded 3rd XI were smelling a flag by Xmas, and their only loss in the final round cost them having a perfect season. With Luke Warren & Mick Spence at the helm, they too won the QF, which awarded them the premiership when the GF was called off. The standout was Callum Padfield, scoring the 8th most runs in a 3rd XI season, and claiming the C grade batting average. Congrats to him and all the other award winners in an outstanding season...

01.01.2022 The 2019/20 season came to a sudden halt and we didn't get a chance to celebrate our success in what was one of our most successful years ever. We held off announcing the SENIOR & CLUB award winners, hoping we could hold a function at the pre-season launch, but as that is still not possible we will announce the winners online, one or two teams a day, and wrapping up prior to the new season starting next weekend. Watch this space for further news about the SP Medal winners, wh...ich we are hoping to celebrate in December in some fashion (subject to covid requirements). The Season Annual will also be released online later in the week. Today we start with the 7th XI led by our overlord Greg Warren, who is upset he can’t have a 2 hour speech. They finished runner up in 2019/20. So here we go, please congratulate the following award winners...
