25.01.2022 Many hands really do make light work. Over the last three Fridays students (and Teachers) from Eastside Lutheran College have been helping out in the Garden. Th...ey have enthusiastically worked on mulching, weeding, planting, watering and construction (with planting out) of our first bean teepee. It is wonderful to have such eager assistants and it creates a great atmosphere in the garden! A big thank you to Sam and all of the students for their work. See more

19.01.2022 Do your students usually bring in gifts for each other and for teachers and educators? 2020 looks different in a lot of ways, and one of these is that we need t...o be more careful about sharing food to keep each other safe. Your school or service might like to promote non-edible gifts this year. Here are some of our favourite ideas: A card or picture with a handwritten message or poem A favourite recipe, written out on card and decorated Vegetable or plant seedling in a pot Plant seeds (buy a bigger packet and divide up into small decorated gift-sized packets) Festive stickers, pencils, erasers or stamps Small Christmas decorations (look for bulk packets if buying for a class) Flowers picked from the garden A mug with a packet of tea or coffee A book for the classroom
