19.01.2022 NO CLASSES THIS SUNDAY The government has announced a 7 day lockdown effective 11:59pm Thursday 27th May. In line with these restrictions, classes will not be held this Sunday. Let’s hope that the lockdown only lasts for 7 days and we are back to training the following week. We will provide an update after next Thursday or if we get let out earlier! Stay safe.

19.01.2022 This is a short video of some tricks which is now a trialing and titling class with Dogs Victoria but apart from that it is fun and most tricks can be taught in a small area, perfect for the current climate. If interested Gay Westmore "Dances with Dogs Club Queensland" actually sell USBs of the tricks for Starters and Novice, it not only shows the tricks but also how to teach it, well worthwhile. If interested please email: [email protected]. I hope you enjoy the video.

18.01.2022 Hello everyone We do hope you are coping with the isolation and restrictions, and are keeping well. it’s a challenging time for us all. At least we can take our dogs for a walk. Hope your walk includes some training, although it’s not the same as in class, it all helps. There is a lot of dog training ideas on YouTube you can access. If you are having trouble or have queries about training, you can put a query on Facebook or ring the club phone and we will respond and hope...fully will be able to help you. We have received an updated notification from Dogs Victoria that all events are now postponed until the end of July. They are hopeful of recommencing events beyond that date. That sounds such a long way off. We will keep you posted with any other updates that comes through. We are really missing seeing you all and your best friends. Committee Warringal Obedience Dog Club

16.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS!!!! TRAINING TO RESUME SUNDAY 15TH NOVEMBER Finally classes are starting again, just in time for renewals. The committee has made the decision that as this year has been so restrictive, we could not expect anyone to pay the full renewal amount. So, the renewal fee for this year is $8.00 for a single or junior membership and $16.00 for a dual or family membership. This is the insurance component of your membership which we must cover.... When attending class you MUST wear your current membership badge and abide by the current Covid Guidelines which I have listed below. 1. Stay home if you are unwell. 2. Wear your mask at all times (except if you have a legitimate exemption). 3. Practice social distancing, ensure you keep at least 1.5 metres between you at all times. 4. Carry your own hand sanitiser. There will be sanitiser at the container for all instructors and committee and if anyone has forgotten theirs. 5. Sanitise your hands before and after touching anything, stationary, agility equipment. 6. Practice cough etiquette - cough or sneeze into your elbow. 7. Avoid gathering in large groups to chat but if you do get together to socialise your dogs before or after class ensure you maintain your social distance at all times. We hope to see you all on Sunday at the usual times.
