21.01.2022 PAIN Day 2 Inflammation. Although pain has different causes, the one thing that remains that exacerbates pain is inflammation. Whether its arthritis, endometriosis, fibromyalgia, nerve pain, or even just just a simple headache....putting inflammatory foods into your body will create more pain and inflammation and slow down your bodys natural healing processes.... Heres a little list of some foods that cause inflammation, and also WHY they cause it: * Wheat - contains phytic acid which can aggravate symptoms * Red meats - promote the pro-inflammatory prostaglandins * Refined and concentrated carbohydrates - bread, flour, and cakes made from refined flours. * Refined sugars and honey - causes inflammatory reaction * Alcohol - consumes vitamin B stored in the liver * Caffeine (tea, coffee, soft drinks) -can increase cramping and also increases oestrogen levels, which can be a huge setback if pain is hormone induced. * Chocolate & lollies - as it contains sugars which are super inflammatory * Dairy produce including all milk and cheese inflammatory. * Fried food, margarine and hydrogenated fats - can stimulate negative prostaglandins * Soy products - contains phytic acid in levels considerably higher in wheat. * Additives and preservatives - increases chemical load on the system and can definitely cause sensitivities in a lot of people Also be aware that natural foods can also cause reactions and headaches in some people, including lactose, fructose, and histamine etc. If you really want to help kickstart things to see if you can lower pain levels, then starting with your diet is imperitive! Otherwise your body will just keep fighting itself and unfortunately may get to the stage that you end up with autoimmunity issues. The best way to get all of these into your system in a large volume is via fresh juice. Make sure you add all the berries, pineapple, ginger, turmeric root and then add all the other raw fruit and vegetable you like. Well cover specific anti-inflammatory foods and supplements in another post; some common, and some not so well known in the wider community. So keep an eye out for that one. And if you have any questions, please feel free to comment or PM :)
21.01.2022 How to Smudge Following the recent post about different types of plants for smudging, we thought we would share HOW to smudge yourself, someone else, as well as your tools and spaces around you. Often when people buy a smudge stick, they think they have to use the whole thing in one sitting. Unless you go all Cheech and Chong, that is not going to happen. One small smudge stick can last you weeks or months, depending how often you use. ... With the sticks, there are a few ways to go. You can light the end and then when you are finished you can put the embers out until next use. Personally I like to pull a bit of the sage off, light it, and put in a bowl and use that way. As mentioned in the last post, smudging is about intention. From a shamanic perspective, its also about ceremony. One way to do this is creating a quiet space first and then sitting with the sage. I like to breathe it in before its even lit, then give thanks to Grandmother Sage for giving herself so that I can be smudged. I also have a song that I was taught and I use that when saging, but keeping that intention in your heart is just as powerful. When you light the sage, it is said that to blow out the flame is a sign of disrespect, so you can instead wave it until its smouldering or use your hand or feather to put out the flame. When smudging, you can wave the stick around you or around the space that you are clearing, or you can use a feather to move the smoke around you. You can do this to any tools you use in your practice such as crystals, feathers, and books as well as blankets and any garb you wear during your healings. Make sure that you voice your intention - clear any negativity but more importantly, infuse positivity, power and protection into the space and around you. Within Shamanism, Sage gives itself freely to assist others in crossing the realms to help others. Giving itself sustains it rather than killing it off. Whether using sage or using other plants, always remember to thank it for giving itself for your intentions. Happy Smudging :)

20.01.2022 ** A few tags and name dropping of beautiful souls below.... A few years ago after finishing my Kinesiology training, my beautiful teacher Paige Haines Kinesiology muscle tested a crystal for all her students. The one she picked for me, MOLDAVITE, I'd never heard of before, but now it's my absolute favourite! Paige couldn't find any at that time, but about 6 months later I find out the gorgeous Swapna from Now Healthy has a piece on her shrine and I was able to purchase ...from her. Over 2 years later, and it having taken a short trip with me to the USA, Canada, UK and Iceland in my bag, I finally found someone who could contain it in a necklace for me so that I could wear it and not lose it! I was told that silver or metal could sometimes affect a crystal, so chose to get the Divine Caroline from Olive Ornaments who bound this beauty for me. So now I can have this powerful stone with me without losing it Xx Kathy xX Here's some info about the rare crystal that is Moldavite. "Moldavite is etherically carved of spiritual fire and destined for purpose. This mysterious green talisman is star-born, formed from nature's violent meteoric impact with Mother Earth. Etched by force and flame as it fell from the heavens Moldavite returned to the earth's surface transformed, a glass of amazing delicacy and grace ready to serve humankind. This beautiful stone is rare, found only in Czechoslovakia, and is named for the area in which it is found, near the Moldau River (called the Vltava in Czech). Carrying or wearing Moldavite in jewelry allows its energies to remain in one's vibrational field throughout the day strengthening its effects and increasing the incidents of beneficial synchronicities in daily life. Moldavite is a powerful aid for meditation and dream-work, as well as increasing one's sensitivity to guidance, intuition and telepathy, and the ability to understand messages sent from higher realms." @ Crystal Vault

14.01.2022 Live. Do what you feel in your heart is for you. Try and let go of those things that are not working for you, or causing too much stress. Nothing is perfect, but finding that thing that sets your soul on fire can be enough. You have this one life
13.01.2022 BREAK THE KARMIC CYCLE When sadness or fear, anger or loneliness, shame or disgust surge through your nervous system, my love, do not believe for an instant tha...t something is ‘wrong’ with you. Instead, be honoured that these ancient friends have chosen to visit! They have come not to hurt you but to heal you, to help you remember your wholeness, your vastness, your capacity for all life. You alone have the courage to feel these feelings, let them pass through to completion, bless them with attention and curiosity! Will you turn towards these inner children now? Will you open your arms to the helpless ones inside? Will you drench the sorrow, fear, loneliness and rage you feel now with love? Will you break the karmic cycle with your breath? - Jeff Foster
13.01.2022 This is important to remember. We often look at ourselves and compare to others when we feel unworthy or feel that we don't know or offer enough. But we all h...ave gifts, we all have something to offer, we all share this in different ways. We are all magic. Your hidden roots just may go a bit deeper than others

13.01.2022 What an amazing day with beautiful people Thank you all for joining us.
13.01.2022 "It was not witches who burned. It was women. Women who were seen as ... Too beautiful Too outspoken Had too much water in the well (yes, seriously) Who had a birthmark Women who were too skilled with herbal medicine Too loud Too quite Too much red in her hair Women who had a strong nature connection Women who danced Women who sung or anything else, really. ANY WOMAN WAS AT RISK BURNING IN THE SIXTEEN HUNDREDS Sisters testified and turned on each other when their babies were held under ice. Children were tortured to confess their experiences with witches by being fake executed in ovens. Women were held under water and if they float, they were guilty and executed. If they sunk and drowned they were innocent. Women were thrown off cliffs. Women were put in deep holes in the ground. The start of this madness was years of famine, war between religions and lots of fear. The churches said that witches, demons and the devil did exist and women were nothing but trouble. As we see even today, there is often a scape goat created, and the chaos escalated in Sweden when the Bible became law and everything that did not line up with what the church said became lethal. The Bible fanaticism killed thousands of women. Everything connected to a women became feared, especially her sexuality. It became labelled as dark and dangerous and was the core of the witch trials through out the world. Why do I write this? Because I think the usage of words are important, especially when we are doing the work to pull these murky, repressed and forgotten about stories to the surface. Because knowing our history is important when we are building the new world. When we are doing the healing work of our lineages and as women. To give the women who were slaughtered a voice, to give them redress and a chance of peace. It was not witches who burned. It was women." Author: Fia Forsström

06.01.2022 Ceremony is as old as recorded human history. The act of ceremony and rituals has been following us through the ages. No matter which religion, culture or ethnicity you belong to, every group of humanity has their own traditions, ritualistic practices and specific ceremonies to create distinctiveness in the ordinary routine. Just like we need water, food, love and shelter for human survival, we also need ceremonies and rituals to survive, as they create a sense of belonging w...ithin us. Ceremonies remind us that there is something greater than we are able to perceive. They create an awe of the universe and help us understand paradigms of unity, connection, continuity and devotion. Rituals are a gateway of relating to the power of existence, they connect us to the divine, to that which is incomprehensible to our minds. Ceremony and rituals add depth and dimension to our life. They are vital for to integrate and thrive in a community. We need ceremony to add extraordinary to the ordinary, to ground us in times of change and trouble, to remember, to honor, to feel and to connect. 'The Conscious Club'

03.01.2022 Are you looking for some natural products for your best friends? (The furry ones, not the human ones). Then look no further than this awesome human, Nikki, from Happy Hippy Pets. "Happy Hippy Pets was born with the idea to offer animal lovers natural alternative choices to treat and care for their pets. We have 25 +years experience with horses and dogs and other farm animals, and have been treating them naturally for many years after discovering that conventional treatment...s weren’t fixing the problems we were experiencing. Some of the products we stock are ones that we use or have used ourselves on our animals with good success. After studying 4 years of human naturopathy and Nutrition, I decided that it wasn’t for me and I needed to follow my heart which was becoming a Naturopath for Equines and small animal companions. So I am currently increasing my skills and knowledge and completing my Diplomas in Naturopathy and Nutrition for animals so that I can help animals and their owners!! It is a very exciting journey!! We always recommend to seek Veterinary advice!! We are not Vets, we just offer products you may be able to use in conjunction with standard treatments or on their own."
