19.01.2022 Check out this amazing transformation from @fortitudeperformanceau client @nictree Nic has been training with @fp_benny at Fortitude Performance since 2011. She dedicated herself to training consistently and her results have been amazing, she now competes in powerlifting comps and is one strong woman! ... During lockdown the FP team joined WP in the bat flu challenge and Nic smashed it out of the park!!! Dropping over 5kg and becoming one strong and lean machine!!! Since then Nic hasn’t slowed down, constantly pushing herself at the gym! We love seeing transformations that change lives and Nic is a massive inspiration to everyone at Warrior

16.01.2022 #Repost @power.athletic with @get_repost Mobility vs Stability When I first started training Jasmine just before gyms started to re-open she passed every mobility assessment with flying colours however when it came to doing a bodyweight squat she lacked the stability to move into those ranges that you would think she could considering her mobility. ... Just because someone cannot squat to depth does not always mean they are just tight in their hips. Test and re-test and exclude either mobility or stability for the reasoning of the movement and then it is a whole lot easier and clearer to program accordingly. Good things take time. This progression from Jasmine was over about 12 weeks. Every rep was performed with intent and now she is squatting awesome. In block 4, we did a rep out and she got 21 reps at 15kg. The goal is to complete a 25kg Goblet squat for 5 sets of 5 reps before we move to barbell squatting. Great job Jasmine This squat progression was taken from the @acexercise technical lifting course. @warriorperform . . . . . . #strengthandconditioning #personaltraining #strength #athleticdevelopment #training #healthandwellbeing #teamwarrior

12.01.2022 #Repost @laurenkelliegreen with @get_repost The changes you can't see are even more impressive than the visuals. But how damn impressive are these visuals!!!! How will you be different in 6 years? Are you going to implement small changes in your life that lead you to a better, stronger, leaner, fitter and healthier body?... Changes don't come from difficult, restrictive, unrealistic, unsustainable changes. They come from small and simple changes that form new habits and actually become a welcomed lifestyle change. Why are humans so hung up on thinking everything needs to be super hard? Surely you can't just eat protein at every meal and your body will change. Well actually, it can if you are not in a hurry. Every small adjustment has a big impact over time. Over 6 years I have worked with Kirsten. I have never given her a diet that makes her hate life or countdown the days until the end. Predominantly we focused on strength goals and eating better or sometimes more. Not once have I yelled at her for having a drink or eating burgers on the weekend. In fact, I have gone out with her to do exactly that. Don't get me wrong, change isn't effortless. But the effort you make to stay consistent with changes to your lifestyle makes it even more rewarding when this is the result! And not only does Kirsten look smoking hot - her gained strength isn’t just physical it’s built her a strong mind to match that badass body WELL DONE GOODY!!!

06.01.2022 #Repost @liftrunbang with @get_repost I told a friend last week that the thing about making a productive lifestyle change is that, we usually don't make a choice to do so, until we either hit rock bottom, or decide we just can't live this way anymore. - Those two things are often intertwined, I suppose.... - But a few moments of introspection should tell you from your own experience that this is the case. We decide that this isn't the life we want to wake up to anymore, and that it needs to change. - And here's the rub about that....and I hope you guys REALLY grok this part of the short caption. - When you're trying to make a significant life change, whether it be for health, or your professional life, or your relationships, then if you spent years creating and cultivating something, don't expect to completely undo or change that in a short time span. - If you walk 10 miles into the woods, you're going to have to walk 10 miles to get back out. - And oftentimes, that walk back out SUCCCKKKKS. - The walk back out, that 10 miles...it's SUPPOSED to be hard. The whole point is that it's difficult to remind you NOT to make those same shitty choices all over again. - If you're trying to undo years spent eating poorly, and living a sedentary lifestyle, disrupting homeostasis can be a real bitch. Change is hard. - Change is uncomfortable. - It's supposed to be! That's part of the lesson. - It's supposed to be because anything worth creating, whether it's a better body or a better lifestyle overall, comes with significant struggles. - The struggles are part of the lesson and what helps you learn, grow, and become more complete. - The struggle bus we get on there is to create that internal dialog of "I don't want to ever have to go through this shit again." - And life will keep giving you the same lessons over and over again, until you learn what it is that it's trying to teach you. - And you'll keep having to try and walk that 10 miles back out until you finally decide that enough is enough. - See more

03.01.2022 We couldn’t be more excited and proud to have Jarrad on the coaching team at Warrior Performance Posted @withregram @power.athletic In 2016 I decided to choose a career in strength and conditioning.
