We are currently completing plans to ensure that we can open in the most safest way possible, including modified timetables, class sizes, ongoing social distancing measures and enhanced cleaning. 23.01.2022 CLASS CANCELLED. 3-2-2021 Due to the heavy rain yesterday which has caused some water damage to our matting, we have had to cancel tomorrow classes. We are working on notifing everyone. Please email Pam to request additional bookings. We apologise for the inconvenience.

22.01.2022 Warrnambool Springers Gymnastics Inc shall be holding our Annual General meeting on 11th August, 2020 at 7.00pm. Venue to be confirmed. We are in need of members to join the club to enable it to operate. Please consider joining. At the AGM we will be adopting some changes to the clubs Model Rules. The changes are below in red. 21.01.2022 In the lead-up to the local government election, the Local Government Act places restrictions on content that we can post. Until October 24, our posts will be very limited.

20.01.2022 Gymnastic classes that have been invoiced. Council’s finance department are today issuing monthly statements for gymnastics training accounts. These statements do not include the credit for the cancelled classes in the week beginning Monday the 23rd of March. This credit will appear on the next statement.

20.01.2022 Thank you for your patience, we have been working through all the requirements needed for our return to gymnastics. As you know things can change. For those who have indicated that they are returning Information of your childs class has either been send via sms or email. If you have not received it please contact the office. A Statement of health for your child is required to be returned asap. See attachment. ... Cleaning and sanitising: Hand sanitiser stations will be available throughout the facility and equipment will be cleaned before/during/after class as required. Changes: Participants must be dressed ready for class. Changing in the amenities is not permitted. Each child is to bring their own full drink bottle. There will be no access to the drinking fountain. A small bag for shoes, drink bottle and own personal items to be clearly labelled like a supermarket or library bag. (suggest wearing thongs in and out of the building) Social distance where practical is required. If you child is unwell, they are not to attend the centre. Capacity restrictions may impact on the number of parents/guardians/spectators who are able to enter the facility. We are encouraging parents to drop off their child the same as we did prior to our Covid-19 shutdown. Ensure that that you are outside the gym ready to pick up your child when classes finish. As spaces are limited, if you have not yet booked in your childs attendance by calling 55594590 or email [email protected].

19.01.2022 After this weeks announcement from the State Government we are excited to announce we are reopening soon subject to government guidelines. A date is yet to be set. We have been busy working behind the scenes to get the gym ready for your return. We need you to notify us if you are returning so we can finalise the timetables. Please email : [email protected] if your child is returning. Please make sure you provide your childs name and what gym class they were in prior to our COVID-19 shutdown. 18.01.2022 GYMNASTICS CLASSES: It is regrettable that we have had to cancel all holiday classes due to the recent water damage. We are work with suppliers to replace our matting however, it likely that it will not arrive for at least 3 weeks. We are hopeful to still be able to start term classes from 1st February. Any updates on the starting date will be posted on this forum so please keep an eye out on Facebook.... Registration days will still go ahead on 18th & 19th & 20th January 2021 from 4pm to 6.00pm. The Committee and staff will be available to collect registration form and payment of registration and have a Covid Safe process in place. For those who completed and returned their 2021 at the end of last year, we shall be in contact with you regarding your class preference day in due course. Registration of $80 or first child and $75 for subsequent children is required prior to your child’s first class. Thankyou everyone for your continued support.

13.01.2022 Although we have been shutdown due to Covid, the Springers committee has been busy in the background. Thanks to the committees hard work and the support from council we have purchased approximately $30,000 worth of equipment this year. We ordered new floor strips back in March for the competition floor which has been delayed due to covid but it has now been completed and we are organising delivery. Here is some of the equipment that has arrived over the past few days. We wil...l post again once we know a starting date for return to classes and will continue to follow all COVID requirements. 12.01.2022 Thankyou to everyone for keeping our community safe during this time. If your child has indicated that they are interested in gymnastics, here are some reasons why you should participate. When we return to classes we will be ensuring that all safety aspects with covid restrictions are covered, so some classes may be run a little differently.... 12.01.2022 Although the gym is shut down to classes, there has been some things happening behind the scenes. We have installed a new high bar and spotting platform. We ordered new carpeted floor strips prior to Stage 4 restrictions to replace our existing competition floor strips. There is a delay on its completion and should be ready to install shortly after the the restrictions are lifted. We have applied for a couple of grants for addition equipment and to date have been successful... for one. Will keep you update on the progress. 10.01.2022 Hope you are getting excited to return to gym next week. Our coordinator has notified all the participants for Monday’s class. We are waiting for Sunday’s restrictions to be release before releasing and notifying everyone else of their classes. At this stage we shall only be holding after school classes for school aged participants. We expect birthday parties and our preschool Ed gym program to restart in the new year. ... We have been busy at the gym particularly over the last week. The new floor has now been layed.

Thankyou to the coaches and families for all working together with social distancing. ... With the current shorter class times we will no longer be having snack break for the classes who are training 2 hrs to allow the optimum use of apparatus and training time. Our suggestion is that the gymnasts have their snack on the way to gym to tie them over until the get home. Thanks for your Cooperation. 06.01.2022 UPDATE Although we do not have a time frame of a return to classes, the Council and committee have still been working behind the scenes during this time. A complete clean of the building, shapes and all hand equipment, checking the springs and floor boards on the back room floor has been undertaken as well as the whole gym carpeted flooring has been steam cleaned. In the lead up to a return to gymnastics we put together some activities for the gymnasts to do at home. These will be release in the coming week.

06.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Gymnastic classes will commence from Monday 13th July however there will be some modifications to classes to enable us to meet all the current regulations. Some classes will start a little later and some classes have reduced hours or classes on different days. Unfortunately both Ed Gym and Birthday parties will be placed on hold until further notice. School and disability groups will also commence at of the 13th July with some adjustments.... For those that have already notified us of their return to gymnastics, information will be forwarded to in in the coming week regarding the timetable and other important information. 05.01.2022 Our new floor strips have finally arrived. Stage One: Layed the old strips in the back room and along the tumble trampoline. How good does it look. Thankyou to everyone that helped.

05.01.2022 Term 3 Invoices for after school classes: Please note management of Gymnastics accounts will be different in Term 3 2020. Invoices will be generated after Friday the 16th of August for the period 15/7/2020 to 16/8/2020 and after Friday the 20th of September for the period 17/8/2020 to 20/9/2020.... The invoiced amounts will be calculated from the class attendance during the invoice period. All classes/sessions will be invoiced at $12.50 per hour. While gymnasts will not be charged for when they are absent during term 3, all gymnasts have been registered into a class and if absences are not pre notified via email your gymnast may be removed from their class. Please email [email protected] if your gymnast will not be attending a class. We expect to return to term invoicing in Term 4 2020.

01.01.2022 Covid shutdown. It is with great sadness that we have to close our doors again due to Covid. A reminder that today is our last day of classes until further notice. ... We will be in contact with you when we have a confirmed date of re opening. 01.01.2022 New changes-Gymnastic classes Just letting you know that at this stage we will still be running our classes until Wednesday night.

01.01.2022 Kinder Rec. We will be re opening our 4 year old Kinder Rec class starting Monday, 3rd August, 2020 4.00 to 5.00pm If you are interested in returning or starting, please contact Pam on 55594590. A medical statement will need to be completed for their first class. This can be emailed out if needed. We are preferring parents drop off and pick up from outside the building. For those parents who need to stay, they will need to sign and and from Monday where a face mask and social distance in the building. We do have strict restrictions on the maximum amount of people allowed in the building.

01.01.2022 Important Changes to restrictions that apply across Victoria and at the Gymnasric Centre. Restrictions continue to be in place across Victoria: From 11:59pm on Sunday 2 August everyone in Victoria will need to wear a face covering when they leave home, unless they have a lawful exception.... Children under 12 years do not need to wear a face covering. Children aged two years or younger must not wear face coverings as they are a choking and suffocation risk. There are lawful exceptions for not wearing a face covering including if you have an illness or condition that makes wearing a face covering unsuitable, if you are doing strenuous exercise or if you are unable to do your job while wearing a face covering. People who do not wear face coverings and do not have a lawful excuse can be fined $200. Do I need to wear a face covering when I play community sport? You dont need to wear a face covering while undertaking strenuous exercise or playing sport. You do have to carry a face covering with you so you can wear it before or after exercising, unless you have a lawful exception. Do people attending and watching community sport need to wear a face covering? Yes, if you are watching community sport you need to wear a face covering. Everybody over 12 years must wear a mask at all times within Warrnambool Gymnastic Centre unless participating in their sports activity. Masks must go back on when you stop training such as when activity concludes or you visit the toilets. All coaches should keep their masks on.
