07.01.2022 A message from Yr 11 Emmanuel College - and not just for today but everyday.. When you stand at the top of the breakwater - Life can be related so similarly to the ocean. We are lucky to live on the South West Coastline.... On the right, the ocean can be rugged, unpredictable and at times a scary wild sea. On the left, the ocean can be calm, playful, inviting, and controlled. So too is life - The similarities with life and the ocean are far too common. Some days, like in life; all is calm and magical - the beauty of the color of the sea and how you could float on it all day. Other days, like in life; its chaotic, unpredictable, and a big mess. The importance is to remember that the ocean is never exactly the same day in day out. The same with life. Things are going to happen to you in this lifetime where you think it's the worst ever. Like a lost boat at sea or being dumped by a huge wave - in life; A job rejection, a breakup, a speeding fine, a friendship argument, (remote learning!!) Know that life can thrash you around; like the southern ocean and you can bask in the beauty of life's stillness, fun, and calm. Remember, however, that there is always someone there to help you and who cares about you. And you are valued you are loved. Enjoy your day. And be sure to ask 'R U OK?"

07.01.2022 Warrnambool Masters Swimming Club Inc member John Sheely has a lunchtime dip every day during the week. Together with his usual weekend ocean swims he has swum... a consecutive 130 days and he is doing #whatweneedtodo Plus he made it into the local The Standard. Go John! #whatweneedtodo - Check in with each other, keep connected, wear a mask, get tested, follow the restrictions, support local and stay apart as all this will keep us together. #wearevictorians #staysafe #keepconnected #msvswimmersrock #wecandothis
