25.01.2022 Well done to everybody on a fantastic 5 weeks of the Christmas Cup! We are extremely grateful to have had your support throughout what has been a very unusual year. Our most sincere thanks goes out to all who have been involved - players, parents, coaches and umpires. It’s been such a positive end to the 2020 netball year. With a lot of junior netballers missing out on game time this year, it has been so wonderful to see them take to the court over the last 5 weeks with huge ...smiles! Thank you all for contributing to our competition and making it happen! This Thursday, our grand finals will be taking place at 4:30pm, between the top 2 teams of each grade. We have attached the final ladders for each grade here, and you can check out our scheduled grand final matches below! 12/U: South v Lightning - crt 6 13/U: South Warrnambool v Warriors - crt 1 15/U: Saints v Russell’s Creek - crt 3 17/U: Koroit v South Warrnambool - crt 8 Presentations will be held immediately after games have concluded.

23.01.2022 We would like all junior and senior teams to be aware that contact will be extended to you this weekend in relation to fixtures and updated restrictions. Each team will be sent a QR code that can be entered manually via the Victorian government app. This can even be done prior to arriving for your game (more details to be provided this weekend). Alternatively, we will still provide a QR code on site which can be scanned upon your arrival. Wishing you all a happy, healthy and safe long weekend!

22.01.2022 We were thrilled to get our 12/U competition up and running on Monday! The girls did a fantastic job running around on such a warm night and they had a blast out there!! 14.01.2022 You still have time to enter your team into our Christmas Cup! We currently have a bye in the 13/U competition as well as the 12/U competition so if you know of a team who would benefit - please let them know. With over 30 teams registered, it is SURE to be a great experience! For those who have already registered, details will be heading your way soon!

11.01.2022 Big news! With the recent government changes that were implemented on Monday 23rd November, there are a few changes being made to our current competitions: You are not required to wear a mask whilst watching/coaching, as long as you are able to maintain a 1.5m distance between yourself and other people.... We are now allowed to have more than one parent (or you can have siblings) attend games!! It is still essential that all attendees register using the QR code provided around the venue and abide by the 1.5m distancing rules. Such great news heading into round 4 of the Christmas Cup. We are so very grateful for all of your support and understanding during these unusual times. It is crucial that we are able to adhere to these regulations in order for our competitions to continue.

10.01.2022 We are excited to see you all at our NetSetGO and All Abilities sessions tomorrow night! This will be the last of these sessions for Term 2 before we embark on a 2-week break. Please be aware of our current COVID-19 restrictions: Masks must be worn by those aged 12+... You must sign in using our provided QR code or alternatively you can sign in via the Service Victoria app, using the code in the photo below. Unfortunately, no siblings are able to run around on the other indoor court. We can’t wait to have you back!!

Lightning (17) defeated South Development (7) Best on Court: Edith Walsh - Lightning 13/U: South Warrnambool (39) defeated Warriors (5) Best on Court: Hannah Van de Camp - South Warrnambool 15/U: Saints (52) defeated Russells Creek (10) Best on Court: Mia Mills - Saints 17/U: Koroit (34) defeated South Warrnambool (24) Best on Court: Greta Gleeson - Koroit Huge thanks to all teams and club personnel for their support throughout our Christmas Cup. Our thanks also go to all umpires, office personnel and the WCNA committee who assisted in the running of this competition. We would also like to thank Lifetime Trophies Warrnambool for their continued support and sponsorship of our netball programs! We have had many words of appreciation extended our way for providing an opportunity for junior netballers to play netball in 2020 (even if it was for a smaller portion of the year than they usually get!). As an association, we are thrilled to be involved in local netballers getting the chance to enjoy some time on the court. We look forward to being able to offer all our regular netball programs/competitions in 2021 - all things going well! This will include our Club Challenge for 13/U, 15/U, 17/U and even a senior division if clubs feel that they would benefit from a mini pre-season competition. This will be no longer than a 6-week season, held on Thursday nights starting from the end of January. All other competitions will be open for registration as of the beginning of February. All registrations for 2021 will be completed online next year. Please note, players are welcome to participate in both the Club Challenge as well as our other regular netball programs. Senior programs will recommence mid-February (this includes our popular Mixed netball competition which will be held on Wednesday evenings)! Please note: if you are registering your child for NetSetGO, please follow the steps in photo 2. If you have already paid for registration through another club/association, please continue to follow the steps in the photos in order to link your membership to WCNA. Complete the steps as usual and the fee will come up as $0 if you have already paid through another club/association.

04.01.2022 After a very long few months, it was wonderful to see so many happy netballers take to the courts last Thursday night! We are extremely excited for Round 2 of the Christmas Cup! Just a couple of reminders:... We are still restricted in numbers of people who can attend. For everyone’s health and safety, just one parent/guardian per player is able to attend. Unfortunately this does mean that no siblings are able to attend. Please make sure you bring a first aid kit for your team. Supplies are not able to be shared out. Whilst attendance of players is recorded on the score sheet, we need all other attendees to scan in using the QR code which is accessible throughout the venue. Toilets are available for emergency use. Toilets can be accessed from outside the building. Please do not attempt to enter the stadium. Change rooms are not available. We greatly appreciate your hard work in ensuring that these guidelines are met. Although netball does look a little different these days, we are very fortunate to be able to have a competition. The smile on the kids’ faces makes it all so very worth it!!
