25.01.2022 Kmart Australia are a valued local and national partner of the Warrnambool Clontarf Academy and the Clontarf Foundation. It’s been great to see their shopfront display acknowledging NAIDOC Week with local artefacts whilst also promoting the Warrnambool Clontarf Academy. Kmart Warrnambool continue to support the boys in the Academy with part time employment and are a great support of these young indigenous men, including 2 of our year 12s, Jordan Chivers from Warrnambool College and Trent Hrabar from Brauer College. Thanks for the ongoing support.

23.01.2022 Warrnambool Clontarf Academy Term 3 Update The boys from the Warrnambool Clontarf Academy should be commended for their efforts and endeavours during term 3 and... the return to remote learning. When restrictions allowed us to do so, numbers participating in Clontarf training sessions were terrific. Thanks to Alex Gynes, from the Warrnambool Seahawks for running a basketball session including some key life messages and the power of sport on physical, emotional and social health and wellbeing. Senior boys were also involved in a virtual educational session on the pitfalls of gambling during isolation run by Bethany Community Support. The boys have also: continued to pack firewood in support of FoodShare Inc; assisted students from Warrnambool West Primary School with literacy support through the ‘Buddies Program’; contributed to a ‘Yarning Circle’ at Warrnambool College with assistance from local elder Uncle Rob Lowe; and taken part in NAIDOC Week celebrations with Kmart, a National Partner of the Clontarf Foundation. 11.01.2022 It was great for the Warrnambool Clontarf Academy boys to support one of our valued local partners Warrnambool And District Food Share last week during these strange and challenging times. The boys pack firewood donated by local saw mills, which is then sold at Macey's Bottle Shop with profits then being distributed back into Foodshare. Well done boys and big thanks to Dedy for the donations of food and drinks to the boys and their families.

11.01.2022 Great to have the Clontarf boys back at school and taking part in some activities, including: online mock job interviews - giving the boys a real-life taste of ...the job interview and application process; resuming before and after school training sessions; taking part in workshops with Microsoft on Word, PowerPoint, Excel and coding a video game - a genuine highlight for the boys who participated. The boys also continued packing wood to raise funds for Warrnambool and District Food Share Inc. and several boys commenced part time employment. To cap off the term and celebrate our achievements we had a game of mini golf and had a great time in each other’s company. 03.01.2022 Warrnambool Clontarf Academy continuing their great work in the Warrnambool community. Clontarf has continued to provide regular check-ins and activities for ...the boys, helping them to keep connected and strengthening relationships. Home Visits - Have provided academic and tech support, whilst allowing face to face check-ins. Each Friday a hot lunch has been a reward to all boys who continue to show positive habits and high attendance. Supporting Food Share Warrnambool - Twice a week, the boys volunteer their lunch time to pack firewood, which is then sold at Macey’s. All profits are then distributed back to Foodshare. So far the boys have raised $3915 to support vulnerable people and families in our community. A great effort boys! Training sessions - The boys were pumped to train in small groups when some restrictions were lifted recently. The Botanical Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for a fitness circuit, at 7.30am- adhering to social distancing of course! See more

02.01.2022 Learn how to say Hello (Ngata) and Good-bye (Wurruk) in Peek Whurrong Language with Uncle Locky. The Peek Whurrong people are the tradional owners of the land here in Warrnambool and make up part of the Gunditjmara/ Maar Nation.

01.01.2022 Thanks so much Gina Williams & Guy Ghouse for a brilliant performance today, discussing the importance of indigenous language to create a deeper sense of self through stories and song. Well done also to Warrnambool Clontarf Academy alumni Jordan Gould in performing a traditional Welcome to Country. Jordan is pictured here with Gina, Guy and local elder Uncle Locky Eccles.
