22.01.2022 A recent job had me up in the bell tower of the Christ Church, the Anglican Parish of Warrnambool. Diagnosing the bell ringing electrics for the main bell. Unfortunately no longer supported by the manufacture, so I designed and built my own controller, and the bell now rings again. Made the mistake of starting it in motion while not more than a metre away, oh boy she is very loud !

09.01.2022 Yep can’t help myself, helping out a farmer with a dead Gallagher electric fencer unit. Interesting couple of faults, but the unit lives to fight another day.

06.01.2022 Recently had to lean on my electronics skills, to do something I had not done for years, the Uniting Church in Warrnambool had a very odd electrical fault with their pipe organ. The 8' Trumpet rank was turning on when C# below middle C was played, making the instrument very interesting indeed. Used my digital storage oscilloscope as a TDR (Time Domain Reflectometer) to help track down the very rough position of what turned out to be a cable fault, tracked it down and now we have our pipe organ back.

03.01.2022 For something a little bit different ! Turned the clock back to repair a valve radio built by Collier & Beale Ltd in 1948. After replacing some very poor condition capacitors and high value resistors and then a complete IF alignment and away she goes !
