23.01.2022 T-minus 3, 2, 1 - Blast-off! We start balancing Child Care Subsidy (CCS) payments from today. We can only balance your CCS once you and your partner have lodg...ed tax returns, or told us you don’t need to lodge and confirmed your income with us. If you've already done this for Family Tax Benefit (FTB), there’s nothing else you need to do! But if we auto balanced your FTB you will need to confirm your income. Once we have all the information we need, we’ll balance your CCS. We’ll also send you a letter once we’ve balanced your payments, so there’s no need to call. If we think we've paid you too much during the year, we won’t finalise balancing your payments straight away. This is because we’ve paused a range of debt activities due to the coronavirus pandemic. We have more info about balancing CCS here: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au//balancing-you/29376

In the midst of the pandemic, who would have thought they could achieve it in 2020? ‘As a team we’ve had to shift to innovative ways of connecting with kindergarten staff and their families so it turns out this year was the perfect opportunity to deliver this initiative via webinar,’ Elisia explains. ‘This webinar highlights just one of many innovative ideas our School Readiness Team has brought to life in 2020 to ensure we’re delivering capacity-building to preschool, FoundationGrade 1 teachers and families across our region. We’ve also delivered professional learning via Zoom/Webex to teachers; pre-recorded professional learning on topics covering communication, wellbeing and access/inclusion; developed remote learning resources; developed social media content for kindergartens; delivered Teacher TalkTM to Glenelg and CPSG teachers; and delivered the School Readiness Scoop for kindergarten families to build knowledge across our priority areas.’
