21.01.2022 Earlier this week, we installed this challenging REC 6.6kW system at Laang on Enphase micro inverters on a terracotta roof . The property is surrounded by big, beautiful gum trees that cast afternoon shade on parts of the array (group of panels) - the ultimate combatant of shade are micro inverters . As opposed to a typical string inverter system where shade on one panel would bring the entire array’s production down, each panel has their own micro inverter meaning they... operate independently. If one panel is shaded, the rest operate as per normal. Enphase micro inverters are an excellent product with a 10 year warranty, extremely low failure rates, no high DC voltage present on the roof and individual panel and consumption monitoring - giving the owner great insight into their systems performance and usage habits . @ Laang, Victoria, Australia See more
