23.01.2022 The Brothers vs Touch n Go will face off at 7pm on Tuesday in the Grand Final! It will be a great match to end an even better season. Drinks and a BBQ will be provided on the sideline. Check out the exhilarating Dash for Cash from last Tuesday

23.01.2022 A thrilling match between Brothers and Touch n Go that went down to the wire! What a great display of our sport, congrats to Touch n Go for a tight and hard fought 6-5 victory over Brothers, who had been undefeated all season. Great to see all the strong young players coming through the ranks. See you all back next season and thanks for all teams and refs for taking part in Touch this season.

20.01.2022 Shaping up to be a great end of year round robin, 6 teams have registered to far and we are looking forward to a few more! Cheers team captains for registering Warriors, Touch n Go, The Misfits, The Practice Squad, Brothers, and Oreos. If you are a player and you haven't registered into your team yet, it's quick and easy, go to touchfootball.com.au/play, search for 3280 and all the teams come up for you to register into.... If you don't have a team yet you can drop us a line, we will find a team for you to play in! And all are welcome to come along to the Come n Try Night Monday 23rd, we will be running coaching clinics for newer players, and either scratch matches or proper games for full teams, depends who turns up!

20.01.2022 Hello, please ensure to read and follow these guidelines for our upcoming competition. We will have hand sanitiser available at a sign in table, and will need to capture names and numbers of participants for Covid safety purposes. Thanks in advance for your cooperation to keep everyone safe and to assist us in finally being able to bring you some Touch Football action!

19.01.2022 While we wait to be able to bring you full details of our planned activities for our upcoming event in late November through mid December (final confirmation of restrictions pending), feast your eyes on these goodie bag items we will be able to give away to our junior players! Thanks Touch Football Victoria for the goodies! Junior players include those who are 13 and under. In our upcoming mixed comp, we will again have three male and three female players per side on the field at a time, with juniors able to sub out for a female player.

19.01.2022 Morning All, we hope you all had a fantastic long weekend and an amazing International Women's Day on Sunday! We are very happy to be running another Switch (Strengthening Women in Touch) Program as part of the This Girl Can Program. In conjunction with Vic Health, Touch Football Victoria, and Warrnambool City Council, your coaches Adelle Roberts and Alex Turner are looking forward to introducing new players to Touch and sharpening the skills and fitness of existing players.... We are looking for women and girls of all ages to come along to this free program, have fun and have a laugh, no preexisting skills or fitness is required! Touch Football is a non-contact sport that is easy to pick up. Switch will take place Monday nights from March 23rd till April 27th at Deakin University Ovals. PM or call 0413 784 627 with any enquiries or to indicate your attendance.

15.01.2022 https://www.standard.net.au//touch-football-makes-return-/ Fantastic to see so many of our returning players last night, and also to welcome so many new faces as well! Was a great atmosphere at the fields with six strong teams in attendance and seven in the comp all up. Shaping up for a good mini event this year, and good numbers leading into our longer competition next year, mid January through till March.... It's not too late to get involved, drop us a line if you are still looking for a team or want to come along next week to see what it's all about!

13.01.2022 Thanks @wannonwater for supporting the Warrnambool Touch Football Association and sending us these awesome water bottles... h2ohyeah! Now just to decide on the best way to use them? Maybe distributed to the first teams/players who register for our next season? Just one more thing to discuss at our AGM 7pm Monday, web meeting details can be found in the post below. #wannonwater #therippleeffect #h2ohyeah!

13.01.2022 We love that our competition is mixed, and can't wait for both girls and guys to be able to get back on the fields!

11.01.2022 Hi All, Our draw for tonight, seven teams in our comp so far which is great. Brothers have the Bye but I'm sure if the Bye team comes along each Monday we can find enough players keen for a scratch match to always give the Bye team a run!... We will also be holding coaching clinics for any new players from 6pm, and if you don't have a team yet also come along also and we can find you a team!

11.01.2022 Who else misses playing Touch Footy? Well, we are pressing ahead with a resumption of activities, per the current Covid last step. We are currently planning for a short 4 week round robin type event running Monday nights from the 23rd November to the 14th December.... Mixed comp, open to regular players and newcomers alike, start thinking about your teams and getting new people involved! More information to follow shortly. Also we are planning a longer event of several months in the new year, so keep that in mind as well.

11.01.2022 Hello just a short update, we are watching the Covid restrictions closely and are hoping to be able to run something that looks like our regular Touch Football season, October 2020 through till March 2021. If it has to be a bit shorter then so be it. Our mixed comp is great fun for players of all ages and experience levels, so keep an eye on this page for further information and stay safe.

10.01.2022 https://www.standard.net.au//teams-already-signed-up-wit/ As if you don't already have enough reasons to play in our upcoming comp, you get to share the fields with local legends Alex and Maggie! Five teams registered already, should be a great event!

10.01.2022 Registrations are now open for our upcoming Touch event for the final few weeks of 2020! Only $15 per player for 4 weeks of play. Go to touchfootball.com.au to register, team captains have to make a team first and then either send links to teammates directly, or once a team is created, players should then be able to find it at touchfootball.com.au. As usual, will be be a fun social and mixed comp, three males and three females on the field per team at a time, with juniors (13... and under) able to sub out for a female player. People who want to get involved but who don't have a team as yet, can still register and we will get you sorted. (there is a team called I Don't Have a Team Yet) Drop us a line with any questions and looking forward to seeing you out there! This return to play is based off current government health advice and we will follow Covid safe guidelines as we resume.

09.01.2022 Who is the fastest Touch player in Warrnambool? We can find out once and for all Tuesday night as part of the fun and games of our semi-final night! Between the scratch matches, and the semis starting, we will hold a Dash for Cash race, one each for guys and girls. Winners will collect a cool $50, so tag and share with the quickest people in your teams and let's get them along Tuesday night. Reminder, scratch matches from 6:15pm, semis from 7pm. BBQ and beverages through the night.

09.01.2022 You know it's getting real when you start marking the lines! We are looking forward to our come n try night for new players on Monday 23rd 6pm-8pm, and will look to arrange matches for other full teams. Draw to go out shortly. If you are thinking of entering a team drop us a line, and if you want to play but don't yet have a team drop us a line also and we can slot you in somewhere!

09.01.2022 https://profile.mysideline.com.au/register/clubsearch/ The above link should take you straight to the page where you can see the teams to join as a player. It's quick and easy to register, and only $15 for our short four week pre-Xmas round robin.... From week two onwards, for insurance purposes, players who are not officially registered into their teams won't be able to take the field. Drop us a line is you have any troubles with the rego process.

07.01.2022 https://www.theguardian.com//community-sport-resume-austra Ok so somehow Touch Football didn't make this extensive list of community sports, but we are looking forward to starting our next season mid October! With a women's Switch program and a ref course in the lead up. In the meantime, as the article suggests, you could keep fit in isolation with some artistic swimming or modern pentathlon.

07.01.2022 Hi with changes to Covid restrictions we will go for an online AGM for this coming Monday, 29th June at 7pm. Google Meetings link below! Be great to see you there and discuss what's happening at the club. If you can't be there let us know any questions or issues you would like to raise! https://meet.google.com/mrx-wbeh-qhk

05.01.2022 Referee Course!!! - Sunday 4th October or Monday 5th October Some good news around restrictions coming out as we hope to bring our season up and running as permitted and in a COVID safe way... But before anyone can play Touch Football, we need referees! The game cannot happen without our refs, and ideally each team that takes part in our comp would be able to supply one referee each night to to make match scheduling easier. We also pay our refs for each match they officiate.... We are looking to run a Level 1 Referee Course in Warrnambool either in the afternoon Sunday 4th, or the evening of Monday 5th. It would have a maximum of 9 participants meeting all COVID regulations. Warrnambool Touch is happy to pay the course fees of all locals who do this course, to help build our referee pools. Course comprises of an online element plus a few hours on the fields. Reffing matches can be fun and good fitness and a good way to improve your own playing and knowledge of the game. New refs will be partnered up with more experienced refs as they develop their skills in this area. If you are interested in learning to Referee, please comment or message us, and let us know your preference for Sunday 4th or Monday 5th. There will also be a Level 2 refs course happening in Portland on Sunday the 17th of October for those looking to progress further. Warrnambool Touch can pay for our participants in that course as well. Let us know if you have any questions, and here's to some wonderful whistling in Warrnambool!

03.01.2022 So our current understanding is that Senior Comp will be able to resume fully on the 23rd of November... We can however, do things like our refs course planned for next Sunday the 4th. More details in post below. We can also look to run a juniors competition, so seeking expressions of interest from junior players and possibly adult support, to get something up and running.... Also a possibility to run a Strengthening Women in Touch (SWITCH) program over the coming months. Drop us a line if any of these are of interest!
