25.01.2022 Another exciting day here at WWPS! Our special guest, ‘Miracle’ visited the school for our special West Cup Day today! The students fell in love with the beautiful miniature pony and learnt so much about the breed. Even more special today was the running of our West Cup, along with hat making and buddy races. Thankyou to Meagan Roberts and family for allowing Miracle to visit and organising a great event!

19.01.2022 Day two of Book Week’s mystery character. Clues were given, the hunt was on at recess to find.... ?! Grade 1/2E found our guest today! Don’t forget tomorrow is our whole school dress up day! We are all looking forward to celebrating another day of Book Week!



19.01.2022 Book Week has started with two of our mystery characters wandering the corridors and classrooms today. Students were guessing who they were. Two more guests were heard singing...’Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it’s home from work we go’ Can you guess?!

19.01.2022 #3280MentalHealthCheckIn Warrnambool City Youth We are excited to be a part of the wonderful initiative by the Warrnambool City Youth Council. Our students onsite brainstormed what it means to them to be Social, Playful, Kind, Yourself and Just Be during the restriction period. Their main takeaway...'check in with each other in any way you can and stay connected.' Well done WWPS students!

18.01.2022 Next week is Book Week! Throughout the week the students and teachers will immerse themselves into the theme of Curious Creatures, Wild Minds! Our official dress up day will be Wednesday 21st October. Your child can come dressed as their favourite character! Let your imaginations run wild and celebrate the wonderful gift of reading and literature. Our parade will look different to other years with parents not able to be onsite, however tune into WebEx to be a part of the exciting event. Details are in this weeks newsletter.

18.01.2022 Today was a day for our school community to be proud of. Our students came together and truly represented what kindness, togetherness and sense of purpose looks like. We started with our regular Walk to School Day, then our Green Day dress up and buddy games to support the Muscular Dystrophy Awareness cause. Thank you to everyone who put the day together to make it happen!

14.01.2022 Friday 30th of October is Green Day! Our Junior School Council have been proudly raising funds to contribute to finding a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. 14.01.2022 NGATA! Last week, WWPS recognised NAIDOC Week, learning about the First Nations people as spiritual and cultural connections to this country. Our students celebrated this years theme; ‘Always Was, Always Will Be’. and will continue to explore, learn and gain knowledge about our first people. WURRUK.

Parents, students and teaching staff have access to many, many resources related to our well being. One new resource is GEM TV. Tune into episodes at 11am Monday to Friday. Mrs Monk tuned in on the big screen to see a lovely presentation, a beautiful song written and sang by some of our students and many, many words of appreciation and cards. When you have a wonderful team of staff, students and families around you, leading the school is a privilege and makes the work that we do so worth while. Thank you to all who made our day very special. The team at WWPS are the best!

04.01.2022 Science week’s focus has been; ‘Innovations for the future of our oceans.’ Our students have created amazing 3D ocean dioramas as a part of their joint science/art project. They have recognised what they can do to help stop the pollution of our oceans. Here are some of our students’ work. Absolutely fantastic!

01.01.2022 ‘We will remember them.’ Our student leaders held a beautiful service this morning, marking their respects for Remembrance Day. The students led the ceremony with the Acknowledgment to Country, The Ode, and the history of the 11th day of the 11th month and the 11th hour. To complete the ceremony, The Last Post was played and followed by one minute silence. Well done to our leaders.

01.01.2022 Although we miss all of our students being onsite, we are so excited to see how they are learning from home! PE whole school challenges, Preps showing their Sounds Write skills, digital think boards in maths, persuasive texts in Pic Collage and diaramas in art! A wonderful start and we are proud of how our students and their families value their learning.
