25.01.2022 Yeeehah! we’re excited! WAACI is BACK AT THE HALL this THURSDAY 16th July. Please be advised that Covid 19 safety measures will definitely be in place. Also, we ask that you please bring your own morning tea and mug as well if you prefer. While tea and coffee will be available, it will have to be served by one designated person only. While we usually sign in anyway, this time it will be required along with your phone number. ... BUT PLEASE!?!! ..... if you are unwell, have a cough, sore throat or the sniffles - stay at home! Hand sanitizers and cleaning wipes will be provided for use. See more

11.01.2022 Wow! Have a look at these fab Australian fauna patchworking images. Happy sewing!
11.01.2022 A bit wobbly, but bear with it as it’s a taste of our opening day. Please come and view the real thing, especially the amazing collection of the Shire Acquisitive awards. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to see them outside of council chambers. See opening times in a below post.
11.01.2022 Sharing the important information for participating exhibitors we recently sent out to all members by email. Just to be sure to be sure!
10.01.2022 Our Exhibition with a Difference finished today with a bang! The storms were quite noisy later today but that did not deter the visitors. What a great time we had! Organisers and members were very pleased with the response to the Acquisitive Awards display. The superb collection looked wonderful and some of the winners had their photos taken with their works. Meanwhile the art & craft, grouped in each contributors name, looked fabulous too. Thanks to all who contributed, supported and helped with this annual event with a COVID-19 spin. Will post more photos shortly.
07.01.2022 Hello members! Our Zoom meetings have been quite successful in keeping a few of us in touch for the last few months. However, not everybody can or are prepared to go on line to chat. So, this coming Thursday 9th we will venture out instead for a trial run at a face to face catchup. If you would like to join us, come to Feathers Cafe at 10am for a cuppa of your favourite brew. (Of course the usual distancing rules apply and stay away if you have sniffles or cough)
07.01.2022 ATTENTION! WAACI are offering free stalls at our coming up 'Exhibition with a Difference"! Have you been busy during the pandemic lockdown? Would you like an outlet to display and sell your items? OR Would you like to demonstrate your special talent? ... Perhaps you know someone else who would? This could be just the opportunity for you to reach clientele. Why not drop in to WAACI on a Thursday morning and find out more and chat to one of our members. Or even message us on here for a phone number. Details about when and where in an earlier post below. See more
02.01.2022 Needing more colours for a knit square rug, I walked into our local discount shop this week to find the shelves bare. Hope you are all managing your needs & stash.
02.01.2022 Well folks WAACI is back at the hall. Yes, it is working well with all the COVID 19 safe protocols well and truly in place for a second week. It is so very well organised and pleasingly adhered to by those in attendance. There were 11 members today with a capacity for 20. It was really nice, almost like old times.....well almost!!! Incidentally, we also had our first meeting since the lockdown. We will send out emails shortly of the meeting Minutes which will bring everybody up-to-date and keep you informed about what we are considering for October. Until then, do think about coming to join in next Thursday. If you have mates that are not online please let them know as well. Cheers dears and stay safe.
01.01.2022 Updating the info’ & spreading the word. PN: Normally housed in the Warrumbungle Shire Chambers, there are 27 Acquistive awards that will be shown all together to the public for the first time since 2007. These paintings are all by local artists of local content. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to admire these highly regarded past winning works, that are generally unavailable for public viewing, in the one place.
