18.01.2022 2020 WARWICK RODEO & WARWICK GOLD CUP CAMPDRAFT CANCELLED BUCKED OFF & CRACKED OFF After extensive consultations with State and Local governments, stakeholder...s and public health authorities the Warwick Show and Rodeo Society have made the hard decision to cancel the 2020 Warwick Rodeo and Gold Cup Campdraft. With the ever changing climate surrounding Covid-19 the safety of our volunteers, competitors, patrons and the larger community were at the forefront of our decision making process. The complex nature of our event being seven days and the vast space of our venue made the logistical implementation of the Covid Plan unattainable. We understand that not only will the cancellation have a massive economic effect on our local community but that our event for many rural and regional competitors has been a reprieve from a tough few years battling through drought, fire and now Covid. In the coming months we will be working closely with our governing bodies to help keep our sports alive to keep our trusty team of volunteers engaged and to lift the community spirit. Please know this decision wasn’t made lightly, even when the equine flu hit in 2007 we still bucked our bulls, the last time on our records we had to cancel was in 1965 due to extreme drought and before that was World War II. We aim to be back in 2021 October 25th-31st bigger and better than ever.

17.01.2022 Not all of our sponsors are local businesses.. some are purely passionate horse people. Roy and Gail Fleetwood are no stranger to the heavy horse and harness world. Their passion for not only the horses but also sharing their wealth of experience and knowledge is inspirational! Warwick and Mel Fraser are well known in the local horse community, involved in a number of equine related events and pursuits including polocrosse and racing. 15.01.2022 Range Carriage Club Inc. is an active and family friendly carriage club based on the Darling Downs. Range is a valued sponsor and their members are great supporters of local shows. 14.01.2022 Warwick Show and Rodeo Society has been closely monitoring and evaluating developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). News has just been received in rega...rds to non-essential gathering of over 500 people. This being said unfortunately the 2020 Warwick Show has been cancelled. We will issue further advise as decisions are made regarding any other relevant matters as soon as possible. The decision has not been made lightly and has been made in the best interest of our community, competitors and traders.

11.01.2022 Glengallan Heavy Horses were instrumental in re-introducing the heavy horses to Evans Paddock in 2011 followed by a full and very popular harness programme a few years later and what a wonderful success it’s been. Even when life is chaotic, Clare and Pete are sponsors and tireless contributors to the Warwick Show whilst also running a very busy business, two farms and still managing to support a lot of shows both locally and throughout South East Queensland. Well known bree...ders of quality Clydesdales and Shires they also breed an occasional Australian Draught, Medium Harness Horse and Suffolk Punch.
