12.01.2022 Parlour Sewing Machine. Made by Singer, U. S. A circa 1916 The elaborate cabinet was built to disguise the sewing machine, as it would have been kept in the Parlour, as few homes had a spare room to use for sewing. It has several doors which open to allow the seamstress access to the side as well as the rear of the cabinet. Our Museum will be reopening for visitors on Friday 12th of June.... Opening hours are Fridays 10.00am to 3.00pm Saturdays and Sundays 12.00pm to 3.00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. 9.00am to 12.00pm. For further info: Phone 0429 941 073 or Email us at [email protected]

12.01.2022 Our sincere thanks to the Warwick Veteran & Vintage Vehicle Club for their generosity in donating a cheque for $5,250.00 to our Museum for the purpose of completing the restoration of our 1923 dodge fire engine. Our dodge started it's life as a private car and was converted into a fire engine during W.W 2 and was used in the Dalby Toowoomba area. Sometime in the 1950's Scots College acquired the vehicle where it was used for pumping water for their oval. In mid 1960's it... was submerged in flood waters and finally donated to the museum in 1968. In 2015 -16 restoration was carried out but due to the cost it was unable to be completed. This donation will allow us to complete the project and bring it up to registration standard. Our Museum opening hours are Tuesday & Thursday 9.00 to 12.00 Friday 10.00 to 3.00 Saturday & Sunday 12.00 to 3.00 We will be open every day from 9.00 to 3.00 during Jumpers & Jazz Festival from 19th to 28th July. Come and visit our museum and see this as well as our many other historical items on display.
