Some of you may remember Gary the publican, an avid supporter of our event.... 22.01.2022 2021 Pentathrun 5 Races - 2 Days - 42.2KM #Race3 - We go to Darling Downs Hotel 5km Road Race at the Darling Downs Hotel, Sandy Creek Rd... This is our final race of day 1. Saturday 29th May 2021, 2:30 pm What better way could you finish day 1, than at the pub! Darling downs hotel is an old historic pub 10min outside Warwick and not far from the location of race 2. This is a road race on an out and back course along the Sandy Creek Road which is closed for the race. With the pub at the finish of the final race for Saturday you cannot ask for a much better conclusion to the day. We welcome all ages and abilities including kids, walkers and wheelchair competitors. Is a great flat, (and if you want fast) course. The weather has on history warmed up by 2.30 so a refreshing drink at the pub to finished is definitely welcomed. This race often attracts 'dress up'! 21.01.2022 The Pentathrun Committee is looking for your help We are helping Lifelfight RUNNING TO RESCUE campaign throughout July and we would love it if you could join us! Why you may ask... Firstly we are runners, its what we do, why not run for a cause. Second our event supports the community by distributing any profits after each event and this year no-one is getting that which includes Lifeflight. Thirdly it is easy and won't cost you very much at all. Sign up and donate a $5. By all means raise more if you can but that will do. Lifeflight is aiming to get 20,000km done in the month in total. We think that our group of Pentathrunners can probably do that ourselves. EASY! 20.01.2022 2021 Pentathrun 5 Races - 2 Days - 42.2KM #Race4 - We got out to Killarney and smash out the ... #QueenMaryFallsCafeAscent10km This is the first race on day 2. Sunday 30th May 2021 Start: 6:45am This race starts near the high school in Killarney (36 km from Warwick) and climbs to Queen Mary Falls. This is a very challenging run. It starts with 3km flat run and gradual climb for the next 2.5 km. The hills get quite steep with a very slight relief in the last Km. We have drink stations on this run and breakfast afterwards in the Cafe Grounds at Queen Mary Falls. (By the way, it is worth doing this race just to get the delicious breakfast) This is a very scenic run if you have the energy to take it in. Our committee is a dynamic group of individuals who work the best part of the year to make the vent happen.... But we do not do this alone. Over the course of the event weekend we pull in groups from across Warwick who provide their muscle and stamina to give you the important things such as Water stations, Race Banner, Food, you name it, they have it covered. 08.01.2022 MEET PJ! PJ, is a local young'un, who in May particpated the Warwick Virtual Pentathrun 2020. Following the 10KM ascent, PJ decided to train to complete another 10KM race, this time the virtual Goldie 10KM! ... Not only has PJ, smashed his time 10KM! (Pentath 61 minutes to, GC 47.32 minutes WOW) (in 8 weeks by the way) he decided to also join the Pentath '#runtorescue campaign; fuse the two together and in doing so, so far has raised over $730 for Life flight! What an amazing lad! Thank you PJ! You are a legend!
