22.01.2022 Warwick Spinners and Weavers Group Inc say Good-Bye to long term member Carole Ford Brandon who is moving to Tasmania to be closer to her daughter . She couldn't take all her spinning wheel collection but I have heard that she has managed to fit 10 of them into the moving van ... You can never have too many spinning wheels . All the best in your new home Carole from all of us.



21.01.2022 Mattie our mascot has been knitting up a storm .She likes to have lots of wonderful knitted garments for our POP-UP shop at Cafe Jacqui's on cnr Albion and Victoria . You can meet her when you visit the shop

21.01.2022 Our yarn bombed chair for our window display at the Friendly Society Chemist in Warwick on Palmerin Street. Watch out for us we will be demonstrating fibre crafts there from Tues 23rd July till Friday come in and have a chat

20.01.2022 A 'Beginners' SPINNING workshop will be held in September this year. More details to come .Places will be limited .It will be a 2 day workshop ... wheels and fibre will be available for those who do not have either.



19.01.2022 The Skirt with diamonds on right side of photo is by Dawn Booth ... Knitter & spinner extraordinaire. It is currently on display at the Sydney Easter Show. Although it did not win a prize it was selected out of hundreds of garments to be displayed for the duration of the show. Well done Dawn . Esdene Kruger arranged for Dawns beautiful skirt to be shown at the Exhibition . Dawn has for last 10 years at least created the hat & scarves worn by the monument in intersection of Grafton and Palmerin in Warwick.

17.01.2022 Putting up our tree jumper . Much thanks goes to Gayle and Carol, Helpers are Therese , Celia , Kathryn - Weaving completed by members of our group- assembled and some weaving mostly by Gayle with help from others.Thank you to everyone who helped .

14.01.2022 A very fitting funeral for our lovely Ann Mottram today about 12 spinners and weavers were there to say farewell .



10.01.2022 Hello members and fellow spinners and weavers It is with great sadness we say goodbye to Ann Mottram who has passed away this week . Her funeral will be tomorrow 13th July at 10am at Warwick Uniting Church cnr Fitzroy and Guy St . IN our photo for our profile Ann is sitting next to Mattie our mascot . A lovely lady and will be sorely missed. Last week we said goodbye to Paul Thomas one of our members his funeral was last Saturday .

07.01.2022 Notice : Warwick Spinners and Weavers are going to run their fibre Retreat /Camp every second year( odd year) for next few years...so there will be no camp held in 2020 but there will be one in 2021.Hopefully it will be about same time in March- new venue .

05.01.2022 Our wonderful crafts person extraordinaire, Dawn Booth with one of her creations for sale at our Pop-Up Shop at Cafe Jacqui's during Jumpers and Jazz in July . Dawn is and has been the creator of the wonderful scarf and Beanie that the monument of Mr Byrnes- wears . She has been doing this for many years. Wonderful work Dawn and I know our visitors appreciate your work I have seen many of them taking photos of him .

02.01.2022 Warwick Spinners and Weavers Group Inc Jumpers and Jazz POP-UP SHOP at Cafe Jacqui's Not to be missed If you haven't been in yet come in soon .We are open from Friday- Sunday 9 am to 4 pm . These wonderful garments are unique .You will never meet yourself in the street, The array of skills - crochet, knitting, finger knitting as well as the colours in the hand dyed yarns and variety of styles all an incredible experience .. just to see what can be done by hand and a simple spinning wheel or loom . The weaving work comes from inkle loom work- table loom, floor looms and Weave-It Square looms( where the square are made into jackets or coats or blankets ... COME IN and have a chat or watch some of the demonstrations happening daily and maybe be tempted to buy one of these wonderful creations on display .



01.01.2022 Our spinning Weaving Fibre Retreat held at Cherrabah March 8,9,&10th was great and food by chef Anna excellent . And as temperatures were in high 30's the air conditioning was most appreciated!
