25.01.2022 ...AND IT'S A WRAP You've done well brewers, wth 342 entries this year it will sure keep all our judges and stewards busy. What's next?? 1) ... Pay for your entries through your registration portal 2) Label your entries using clear packing tape onto your bottles> If you don't they may get wet, come off, and your beer won't be judged and you will have wasted your $15 3) Write your entry number on top using permanent marker or paint pen 4) Drop them to TWOC or Brwmart by 3pm Saturday August 22 5) Volunteer to help out if you can 6) Win prizes, grab a ticket and celebrate at the awards night drinking awesome craft beer at NBC BRAGGING RIGHTS. 20.01.2022 Hi all, It's you're having problems getting onto the competition site try going directly to https://enter.wasabc.org We've had issues getting redirects and whatnot working. Logging in directly tends to fix any problems.... Get those fees paid, labels printed and head to Brewmart Brewing Supplies or TWOC Brewing Supplies to drop them off.

19.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED!! We are at that time again we we are chasing volunteers, keeping in mind that without you volunteering, the competition does not run We have added three more session slots that require volunteers and they include: - Saturday August 22 for beer receivals at TWOC ... (2 people required) - Saturday August 22 for beer receivals at Brewmart (2 people required) - Sunday August 23 for moving beers into the fridges at the judging location (Northbridge Brewing Company) in Northbridge (3 people required) If you can help out please register your account by heading to http://wasabc.org/, hitting the rigister button, register an account and choose the sessions you can volunteer for. This also includes judging and stewarding on the actual judging days Appreciate it legends!!

Appreciate the numbers that have registered to volunteer this year (gives ol' Hutto the chance to have an early beer) IMPORTANT! 04.01.2022 There is definitely something romantic about brewing your own beer, just as there is of anything that you produce by hand; be that meat, cheese, wine, bbq....and the list goes on. Its interesting how the tides turn and you may come back around to where you started, be that inevitable or planned. Once upon a time if anyone had have asked "What's your favourite style" it could have been one of many, but today I would say Aussie Lager. Why? Nostalgia i guess. I don't co...nsider myself overly nostalgic, but with one whif of Melbourne Bitter, or the likes, and my mind is instantly rewound to 1984 eagerly awaiting my Dad to walk in the door, home from his day at work at the barracks in his clean pressed Army Khakis smelling of canvas and and boot polish. These days brewing seems a chore for me, but brewing with my mates creates memories that will be recalled just as those memories of my father are, all with one smell, or comment from a friend. Some would say "Aussie Lager is shit, and easy to brew". Well I wouldn't agree or disagree with that statement except say "Do it, and show me" This weekend, all your beers will be judged and we'll surely find who does craft the best Aussie Lager, Pale Ale, Dortmunder, Dunkel, and Doppelbock. I do enjoy WASABC and all the hard work that goes in and I would say good luck, but no amount of luck will snag you the trophy, only good craft, practice and ultimately, talent. 02.01.2022 Here is this bloke from last year telling you guys how to label your bottles ready for drop off. Very important, because if your labels come off, we can't judge your beer so dont be stingy with the CLEAR PACKING TAPE, and make sure you write the ENTRY NUMBER ON THE LID using permanent marker or paint pen. GET LABELLING!!!
