13.01.2022 Hi All its with a heavy heart that I feel I need to shut the shed down for the rest of the year unless they get a handle on this virus that is sweeping the country as I fear it is only going to get worse. Not only do I have to consider the safety of my family but the safety of others within our group. Rest assured this only a temporary measure!! I hope to have a few quiet nights with some practice if possible and I will be letting everybody know but there will limitations ...as too how many I can have in the shed at once if at all. We don’t really know how this is going to affect us all yet! Feel free to call and have a chat and keep in contact. Hopefully none of us or our families will be affected by this virus and it is over as quick as it has happened. I will be wanting to get back into racing as soon as it is safe to do so. 07.01.2022 Racing starts back this Saturday the 11th of January!

06.01.2022 Hi All. It was a good start to the year for all that attended on Saturday night even though attendance was down due to prior commitments of some of the members. We had eleven racers turn up and had an awesome night of racing! Considering some of us hadn't driven a slot car since Trophy Night we had some incredibly close racers with some really quick times being posted. The new club class of F1s were even better at 10 volts, having been run at 9 volts for trophy night, with mo...st of the lanes times being fairly close, slight bias to yellow lane, with most of the members posting good average times. Chris managed to hold off a fast finishing Peter H to win the first race of the season and the first F1 race! I came 3rd and Tony made a maiden appearance into the A Main, well done Tony.Going on the feedback and results this is going to be a really closely run championship. Half time saw the usual supply of smoked chicken and we all devoured what would have normally fed 16 or so. It was good to see it didn't go to waste. We also celebrated Chris's birthday with a cake! After the food was devoured we started back with the Ninco GT where we saw some really close racing in the finals where it was coming down to the last race in each of the step ups to determine who was moving up to the next bracket! It made for some very entertaining racing. See more
