15.01.2022 *** PUBLIC NOTICE - STEPPING BACK *** LEARN IT, TEACH IT, DELEGATE IT = STEP BACK I am looking for a new challenge within the Department of Corrective Services or in the areas of Rehabilitation, Reintergration & Re-socialisation. ... I have learnt a great deal over the last forty plus years. It feels like I have been looking for an antidote to cure recidivism, I feel I have found it. In January’s 2021, I would like to publicly announce that I will be stepping back from the day to day running of Shalom House. REHABIILITATION - REINTEGRATION - RESOCIALSIATION I have trained up the staff and volunteers of Shalom House so that it runs not because of me but in spite of me. After nearly nine years as a full time volunteer I feel that my time has come to step aside and seek new direction for my life. My hearts cry is for the community as well as the prison and justice system. I know that I have what it takes to bring reform to all areas and in turn playing a part restoring many more lives in our community at a much larger scale. I am passionate about putting into practice what I have learnt to break free from life controlling issues. While initially this role would be a volunteer position, with training to equip you to work within our culture and process, there is a possibility of part time employment for the right people. 06.01.2022 LOST FOR WORDS The City of Swan spend five and half years taking me to court spending over one million dollars fighting me to stop Shalom House operating within the City of Swan and the government just walk in and roll out millions, (4.5 million in fact) to start a Rehabiilitation Centre with no consultation with the Shire. We operate a centre that looks after 160 plus people at no cost to anyone and the government are spending 1.6 million every year for a SIX ...BED DETOX ONLY, that’s right a 6 BED DETOX ONLY, that’s SIX DETOX BEDS ONLY at 1.6 Million dollars per year. It cost them over 4.5 million to get it started. There is NO PROGRAM LIKE SHALOM’S anywhere. THIS IS HILARIOUS UNBELIEVABLE...!!!! 04.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS ROBBIE ON YOUR NEW CAR It is awesome to watch the Shalom Fellas move forward in life while at the same time bringing restoration to their entire family. IT’S ANOTHER LIFE CHANGED... At the moment Robbie is working in the accounts department at Shalom learning to do accounting and book keeping. He is giving everything he has to the program and we are more than proud of him for the progress he has made and continues to make. 04.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS BILL 100% DEBT FREE BILL has paid out the last of his debt $6,465.37 There is no where anywhere in Australia that all residents leave debt free, savings in the bank, own car, family restored and working full time and off Centrelink within four months. 02.01.2022 WHY DOES THE MEDIA NOT REPORT THIS..? I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS FRONT PAGE NEWS... The City of Swan spend five and half years taking me to court spending over one million dollars fighting me to stop Shalom House operating within the City of Swan and the government just walk in and roll out millions, (4.5 million in fact) to start a Rehabiilitation Centre with no consultation with the Shire. We operate a centre that looks after 160 plus people at no cost to anyone and the government are spending 1.6 million every year for a SIX BED DETOX ONLY, that’s right a 6 BED DETOX ONLY, that’s SIX DETOX BEDS ONLY at 1.6 Million dollars per year. It cost them over 4.5 million to get it started. There is NO PROGRAM LIKE SHALOM’S anywhere. THIS IS HILARIOUS UNBELIEVABLE...!!!! Shalom’s program is a wholistic program that covers all the areas of a persons life, family, relationships, finances, employment, training, education, and more. It’s been structured to take someone who is broken and destroyed and give them an opportunity to rebuild their life to become a strong mature, productive member of the community. SHALOM HOUSE BELONGS TO THE COMMUNITY They will have to make all the hard choices and do all the hard work , we just create the environment for that to happen at no cost to the government, the tax payers or the residents and rate payers, 100% self funded program that puts the entire cost of rehabilitation on the residents. 02.01.2022 *** PUBLIC NOTICE - STEPPING BACK *** LEARN IT, TEACH IT, DELEGATE IT = STEP BACK In January’s 2021, I would like to publicly announce that I will be stepping back from the day to day running of Shalom House.... REHABIILITATION - REINTEGRATION - RESOCIALSIATION I have trained up the staff and volunteers of Shalom House so that it runs not because of me but in spite of me. After nearly nine years as a full time volunteer I feel that my time has come to step aside and seek new role for my life. My hearts cry is for the community as well as the prison and justice system. I know that I have what it takes to bring reform to all areas and in turn playing a part restoring many more lives in our community at a much larger scale. I am passionate about putting into practice what I have learnt to break free from life controlling issues. I am passionate about restoring families, Mum’s & Dad’s, children to their parents and fighting to keep the family as a whole. I am passionate in creating a functional community with the infrastructure that supports that goal. We need both male and female volunteers for the following shifts during the week. Female volunteer drivers: MONDAY from 1pm- 4:pm and FRIDAY from 9am to 3:30pm.... 02.01.2022 TYLER HAS JUST BEEN GIVEN A CAR. PUBLIC GENEROSITY We would like to thank the member of the public for the gift of this car. Tyler has also just recently obtained his driver’s licence at the age of 21 and has been apart of the Shalom Program for over 15 months. He also just started an apprenticeship as a plumber/gas fitter.... WELL DONE TYLER We are seriously so grateful to many members of the Community for your gifts that we can pass onto others. 01.01.2022 GET A LIFE WEEKEND, REAL BLOKE’S REAL STORIES You would have to attend a camp like this to see the power of change through a persons story. I have done many camps like this over the last 13 years and each time I am blown away by the impact that the camps have on the men, not to mention the massive flow on effect to their families. Truth is a powerful tool that sets people free, I can’t fully explain what’s taking place here as you would have to see it to believe it.... When these men come home, fathers are being restored to their children, husbands are being restored to their wives, people being set free from life controlling trauma and addiction. CHANGE A MAN & YOU CHANGE A FAMILY I am passionate about families. I want children to grow up feeling loved and valued, as men we have a responsibility to lead our homes, provide for our families, to be productive members of our community.
