CHERPA welcomes this very interesting paper by R...MIT Associate Professor Ashton De Silva outlining the possible unintended consequences, including "Housing Deprivation and Financial Debt", of the proposed government regulations for our industry. In the interest of creating thought leadership, we have been holding broad ranging discussions with a number of parties. Obviously we cant and dont try to unduly influence any academics, but in the interests of better understanding of our industry we have held robust discussions with a number of institutions. CHERPA Members may also recall that Mr De Silva was a guest at our AGM and Conference in July last year.
