17.01.2022 You may have seen us around town using a water fed brush for window cleaning and thought, why don't I just buy a truck washing brush and do that myself? That's a very good question. The simple answer is that you're not likely to get nice clean windows like that. Why not? The main reason is the water purity. We use demineralised water.... Most water has dissolved minerals in it, and those minerals leave spots on the glass. Over time, the spotting builds up, and gets harder and harder to remove. The photos in the comments below show various examples of mineral staining on glass. Showers are very prone (it's not just soap scum), and the more windows are hosed, the more likely the minerals will do permanent damage to the glass. What makes the Washpro system work? This gets a bit scientific. We mainly use deionisation to make our demineralised water for window cleaning. Our purification system has ion exchange resin beads in it that absorb the minerals from the water as it flows around them, a bit like static electricity makes things attracted to each other. When the dissolved mineral content of the supply water is really high, we also use reverse osmosis as a prefilter to our resin tank.

12.01.2022 A good warning about mixing cleaning chemicals. What we use is normally very mild, but occasionally something stronger is needed. For example, Eucalyptus oil is really effective for removing sticky tape residue.
