25.01.2022 One of the all time great people. Thanks for everything Ginna
24.01.2022 Overuse in Junior Athletes- @athleteorigin provides a great explanation about load management: One of the main concerns with parents is that their child is already doing a lot of sport. . Ive had some kids come in with extremely sore knees/shins/backs, which have stemmed from too much sport, leading to overuse injuries from their bodies no longer being able to tolerate the demand. Its always important to consider why your child is getting injured, or constantly sore, in ad...dition to how you can assist in stopping it. . The More is better approach is the belief that adding more sport, or different sports, will strengthen and stop a childs injury. However, a planned exercise program is the best way to raise the threshold of what your child can tolerate in sports. Structured strength and conditioning for nearly all juniors provides an increased level of strength and coordination to their sport and reduces injury rates. See more

18.01.2022 How much does seat height matter? Seat height can influence the activation of your stabilising muscles during cycling. As you can see in the photo, our patient Reeven has his seat height set too high which creates an excessive flexion (or curve) in his lower back. Bending itself is not an issue, but sustained and repetitive bending without adequate strength can be. This can also lead to muscle imbalances. Make sure that you are fitted by a reliable bike fit specialist to prevent cycling injuries and optimise your power on the bike. Call us on 0481 059 400 or click the link in our bio to book a bikefit with our Bikefit Specialist, Leon

The Normatec uses dynamic compression technology to mimic the muscle pump in the legs which promotes fluid circulation. It is a great post-game recovery tool for any player with muscle soreness. Book into our Injury Clinic this Sunday and see the benefits for yourself
