18.01.2022 This area is part of the song line, the series of scared trees and artefacts we find here regularly prove its significance.

14.01.2022 It's World Environment Day, a great day to reflect on the impact we are having on the planet. This year's theme is "Time for Nature". It’s time to wake up. To take notice. To raise our voices. It’s time to live in accordance with nature for the good of people and planet. At WasteAid Australia we work with Aboriginal communities to design waste solutions and assist in cleaning up historic waste problems. This photo is from our clean up in Cabarita in late 2019. You can support our work by donating today at https://secure.squarespace.com/checkout/donate

14.01.2022 Elaine from WasteAid had a ball working from an outdoor office at The Green Tuncurry recently. The WasteAid team are currently working on a legacy waste program at nearby Cabarita with the support of NSW Environment Protection Authority and the Forster Local Aboriginal Land Council. Pictured are our colleagues from Resource Recovery Australia and JR Richards & Sons who are also helping out on the project.

12.01.2022 We have suspended visits to communities to do our part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The work with our communities continues remotely though with plenty of phone calls, virtual meetings and work on waste management plans and lobbying still happening. You can learn more about the work of WasteAid on our website https://wasteaid.org.au/

04.01.2022 Meet the "Cabarita Waste Audit Crew" this incredible team worked together to complete an audit of the Cabarita community's bins the other week. The audit helps us to understand how we can help the Cabarita community to better understand their waste. Our next step will be to work with the community to develop solutions that work for them.
