25.01.2022 Balgowlah North Public School joins the growing list of schools working with us to divert their food scraps from landfill with 8 bins for their Xmas carnival

24.01.2022 We can't think of a better way to end our week than with what is possibly the most eloquently written (and also the most adorable) email from a future Waste Ninja. Thank you so much for the email Hannah, there's a board position waiting for you in our company! #womeninleadership #waronwaste #foodwaste #circulareconomy

23.01.2022 At Waste Ninja, we're proud to be a responsible member of the communities we serve, not just another big waste company. That's why we love doing events like the Manly West Carnival at Manly West Primary School in partnership with our good friends at Pak360. Together, we're delivering a first-of-its-kind sustainable event, where all packaging will be 100% compostable (and tree-free), and all food scraps, together with the compostable packaging, will be captured and transported... to one of our organics recycling facilities to be converted into compost and renewable energy, rather than being sent to landfill. If you're wondering why it sounds so simple, that's because it is! One day, this will be the norm, not the exception. *sigh* Click the link to learn more about our work with Manly West Carnival. If you're in the area, show your support for Manly West Primary School by attending the event. See more

20.01.2022 Our Founder & CEO Darryn Pinto sat down for an interview with the legendary Chloë Kempe for her Vet Chloë On The Road podcast series. The thought-provoking discussion examines the general food/organic waste industry, why Darryn decided to start Waste Ninja, the story so far for the company and what he thinks the future looks like for composting and food waste collection. 20.01.2022 Today is World Environment Day - a day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. Waste Ninja are thrilled to be working with so many amazing businesses that have made a conscious effort to reduce their emissions through organics recycling. We all have our part to play and the small choices we make every day can make a big impact

20.01.2022 We all know there are two types of businesses in this world - those who are part of the problem, and those who are part of the solution. Look out for this sign and support local businesses that carry our certification

20.01.2022 The coolest food/organic waste collection business in Australia (that's Waste Ninja in case you're wondering, smarty!) and the coolest compostable packaging company in Australia, Pak360, are now partnering with the coolest coworing space in Australia, Work inc and their award winning onsite cafe Bay Ten Espresso to deliver a waste-free coworking experience to members! Tucked within converted warehouse spaces below Sydney's Harbour Bridge at Lavender Bay, if you're looking for an inspiring place to work, look no further! 18.01.2022 Hey friends, stop by and see our stand

11.01.2022 We hope everyone at tonight's Startup Victoria Impact Pitch Night enjoys the event, and best of luck to the awesome startups Bring Me Home, Sempo, Gecko Traxx, & The Neighbourhood Effect who are pitching. Please place all food scraps and Pak360 compostable packaging in the Waste Ninja bins provided. Let's keep that stuff out of landfill!

11.01.2022 Did you know if food waste were a country, it would be the third biggest emitter of greenhouse gas in the world. Scary isn't it! You know the craziest bit, food waste can be converted into resources such as fertilizers and even electricity! We're so thrilled to be able to help businesses divert their food waste from landfill and turn it into a resource

10.01.2022 Woahhhh, just hit +500 likes #lifegoals. More importantly, for those who are interested in what we're doing in the "real world", during October we will be hitting the 1,000 bins per month mark, keeping 72,000kg of food scraps from ending up in Aussie landfills. Thanks so much to all you Waste Ninjas for the support so far, let's keep going!

07.01.2022 A lot of people are talking about the circular economy, but one of the biggest obstacles to todays recycling systems is that we don't buy back the products we make from the resource streams we produce. When we initially met with Vue de monde by @chefbennett23 and his team, we were asked one very important question - "can we buy your compost for our farms?" and we were soooo happy to be able to say "Yes!", thanks to our partnership with Circular Food. Waste Ninja is the only ...Australian organics recycler who can sell you back what you put in but we're just a small part of an unstoppable team. That team includes Pak360, Circular Food and of course, our superstar customers, like Vue Group, who are ready to get on with the job. Together, we CAN close the loop. Here's what we did: 1. Food scraps from @vuedemonde , @jardintan and @piggerycafeburnhambeeches were collected and captured into separate @wasteninja ‘organics’ bins. 2. All consumable packaging that could not be converted to reusable items was converted to @pak360au 100% compostable, tree-free range. 3. Food scraps and compostables were collected and transported by @wasteninja to one of our Organics Recycling Facilities. 4. Food scraps were turned into high-quality compost by @big_bio_fertiliser, a division of Circular Food, and returned to the soil at Vue Group’s farms. Australians spend billions of dollars on synthetic fertilizers, which are predominately made by burning fossil fuels (you heard that right!), yet we bury those same nutrients, contained in our food scraps, in landfills across the country, where it costs us another $20b per year, and emits the same amount of greenhouse gases as an extra 3 million cars on the road. It's time to change! And we've got the answer. Thanks to all involved, super proud to be part of this!!

07.01.2022 If you're in the Macquarie Park area tonight, join Waste Ninja CEO Darryn Pinto and a stellar panel of waste entrepreneurs at Venture Cafe Sydney for an interactive discussion around the vast array of opportunities in the circular economy, an industry estimated to be worth $26 billion by 2025! #circulareconomy #opportunities #entrepreneurs #venturecafe #zerowaste #sustainability

05.01.2022 Just a regular Saturday, helping the world's largest furniture retailer keep their food scraps out of landfill Pak360

04.01.2022 We're lucky to have customers that are both clever and caring. This morning while out at Cherry Moon General Store in #annandale, we noticed these buckets with the cutest little note! Waste Ninja provides an organics collection service that is designed to be scalable, handling the large/diverse volumes of organic waste generated across Australia, but our approach should only be used AFTER other higher-order recovery options have been exhausted. Coffee grounds contain valuable nutrients and are a great source of nitrogen. So why cart them half way across town when you can bring your garden to life?! Visit @cherrymoongeneralstore today to grab some used coffee grounds AND pickup some of the yummiest cakes/baked goods in town

02.01.2022 Hey Waste Ninja's, our good friends at Boomerang Labs, Australia's first accelerator program dedicated to boosting entrepreneurship in waste reduction and the circular economy, are holding a free event on the 3rd of December. The event will focus on building for-profit, self-sustaining commercial enterprises that solve one of the greatest social/environmental challenges of our time. Click the link for more details. And hope to see you there!
