02.01.2022 NABERS for Apartment Buildings is coming! Introduced for commercial buildings some 20 years ago, NABERS is the National Australian Built Environment Rating System. In simple terms, it is a rating system for the energy efficiency at a building, much like the star rating you see advertised on home appliances. A NABERS rating allows stake-holders (owners, strata managers, building managers, etc) to compare the efficiency of a buildings use of energy and water, against similar ...buildings in Australia. This comparison/bench-marking should facilitate reducing energy and water costs through the identification of areas of usage & wastage, important factors in protecting our environment.
