25.01.2022 SACK THE COUNCIL FFS ????

21.01.2022 Why on Earth is this council election still going ahead? And how dare the Government threaten voters with fines if they don't turn up. #9ACA

16.01.2022 How is the community feeling about Queensland opening its borders, assuming we keep infection rates low?

09.01.2022 FFS! Sadly NOT an #AprilFools joke.

03.01.2022 This is an email I sent to Mayor George Seymour yesterday, which he has read. George, At the public meeting at the Maryborough Town Hall on Thursday 12 March 20...20 I raised the matter with you as to your failure to respond to my complaint about the conduct of the CEO Ken Diehm. You responded by saying that you had no complaints on your desk. I informed you that it was a complaint I made after our meeting at the Maryborough Town Hall in March 2018 when you were acting mayor, which you remembered. The reason for that meeting was because the CEO Ken Diehm had blocked me from sending emails to him, any council employee, and, more importantly from any councillor including you. I requested that you direct the CEO to remove the unlawful email block. You refused to direct the CEO Ken Diehm to remove the block. You reasoned that he could have put the block on because my emails could have been pornographic. I responded that I had not sent any pornographic emails and that you should check on the contents of all the emails I had sent to the CEO and councillors. You did not respond to that request. Without email access to council I hand delivered my complaint to you about the CEO Ken Diehm to the council offices in Adelaide Street Maryborough, in a sealed A4 envelope addressed to you. I was told that my letter would be sent to you in the internal mail system. There had been much discussion about the former mayor Chris Loft accessing the former CEO Lisa Desmond’s emails. If, as you said, that you had never received my complaint about the CEO Ken Diehm, that means someone on council staff is stopping correspondence from reaching you. If you didn’t get my print correspondence, what other correspondence have you not received? That is a far more serious matter which needs a proper investigation. At the Maryborough Town Hall last Thursday you publicly said you would not have anyone calling council workers liars. Please tell me what word you would use instead liar when it is documented that the CEO Ken Diehm tells lies and provides misinformation? If you won't have anyone calling council staff liars, are you supporting council staff, including the CEO Ken Diehm telling lies and giving out misinformation? I look forward to your response on these matters and what actions, as mayor and leader of the council, you intend to take.

02.01.2022 A donor to the Liberal National party received a $5.5m jobs and investment grant, despite potentially being ineligible because it is a registered training organ...isation. In April 2018 Nolan Meats was approved to receive the grant under the $200m regional jobs and investment package’s business stream, despite being listed as a registered training organisation, a disqualification under the program guidelines. According to a scathing auditor general report, released in November, the program received 12 applications that were ineligible for funding, including one that was successful. The shadow infrastructure minister, Catherine King, said the government had failed the test Scott Morrison set for Bridget McKenzie by funding an ineligible project. Before McKenzie’s resignation over a failure to disclose membership of a shooting club that received funding, Morrison repeatedly defended her handling of the $100m community sports infrastructure grants program on the basis that no rules were broken and all projects were eligible for funding. The regional jobs and investment package’s guidelines warn applicants that the infrastructure department cannot waive the eligibility criteria under any circumstances. In the Wide Bay Burnett region, where Nolan Meats received funding for its Gympie abattoir, the auditor general found none of the eight highest applications ranked and scored the highest were awarded funding. https://amp.theguardian.com//coalition-donor-received-55m-
