24.01.2022 Today's photography lesson: It doesn't matter whether you have a $20 camera or a $1000 camera, if you don't have it with you, it's useless. When I meet this little guy today, I learned that lesson.

20.01.2022 I tend to take a lot of photos and in the digital age, why not right? At times, images can get lost in a folder somewhere but I do go back and look at them mostly to see the change in style and quality. A lot of the time, I look back and think to myself "I can't believe I used to think this was a good photo" and then, like now, I come across an image and sit back and ask myself "Why I have not shown this before?". I absolutely love this photo. Have a look at this one and view it from different angles and you will see that no matter where you stand, this young man is looking at you. Go on, try it.

16.01.2022 Just over 6 months ago, my photography had unfortunately taken a step down the priority ladder. At the time, I did manage to get out to QLD Raceway at Willowbank for the V8’s. While there, I may have taken a photo or 500 . I have just come across them and thought I’d share one with everyone. Trying to capture a vehicle moving at over 200 kph is something I need to practice more. Any excuse to get to a race track.

13.01.2022 I always say the best camera you own, is the one you have on you. Thankfully, on a recent trip to Sandstone Point, I was prepared . Unfortunately the weather didn’t want to play the game at 5am . Oh well, no need to waste the opportunity. P.S. The lifeguard tower is actually on Bribie Island.

13.01.2022 Being out and about trying to get some photos and didn't really achieve what I had set out to do. Oh well, lets go for the next best thing. Park the 'ol girl and get snapping. Now I know it is a good rule to never shoot on active railroad tracks but there are some disused ones in the local area making a great setting for a 56 year old car.

10.01.2022 Well ladies and gents, things keep moving forward. Today saw the delivery of 100 Watch n Shoot branded, wooden USB's each with their own case. Yet another step toward my goal and loving every minute of it. But I must add a massive thank you to my wonderful fiancé. Without her love and support, none of this would be possible.

07.01.2022 I don't know why but I seem to be drawn to the old, rustic or run down farm shed. Perhaps it is the patina that has taken so many years to form. Needless to say, I like it.

06.01.2022 The lull before the storm . This was a photo of opportunity. Just happened to walk past a pool table and thought it would make a nice image. Just goes to show you, photo opportunities can happen at any time and place. You just need to take in everything you see. And for some reason when I looked at it after the fact, black and white seemed to be the way to go.

03.01.2022 Afternoon everyone. Well that's it, I've finally finished my first day selling my photographic services in the public domain. So very very nervous to start with but that soon gave way to being quite busy. A lot more so than I expected. These local business have some amazing products so check them out. Such a wonderful atmosphere created by all involved. 03.01.2022 So today saw me picking up the last of my new photographic equipment. Was not really planning on taking photos but upon seeing this guy drinking in a pond, I couldn't say no. As my youngest son would say "Go the bin chickens"
