KWR Water Research Institute demonstrated a correlation between wastewater SARS-CoV-2 RNA concentrations and #COVID-19 clinical case reports and reported that the RNA concentrations could provide a 4- to 7-day advanced notice ahead of COVID-19 confirmed case data. In this brief, the World Health Organization exp...lores potential use cases, considerations, and #research needs for the implementation of environmental surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 detection as an early #warning and #monitoring system. https://lnkd.in/d_tUrcC Status of environmental surveillance for SARS-CoV-2 virus who.int Scientific Brief

06.01.2022 Australia survived devastating consequences of clearing, and lessons were learned about the changes in hydrological cycle, erosion, soil degradation, loss of top-soil, loss of corridors which support connectivity, essential for species to adapt to climatic changes, and about devastation of corral reefs from sediment influx, which in turn result in diminished fish numbers. Why is NSW forestry, which is supposed to look after our natural resources ignoring well known science and its own, decades-long research?

05.01.2022 Wildlife rescuer and arborist Kailas Wild has evidence of koalas in the middle of a logging operation in the Lower Bucca State Forest on the NSW North Coast. "I... went to Lower Bucca State Forest because I knew this was happening and I believe if people see this, theyll do what they can to help keep koalas safe," said Kai. The bushfires burnt over 2 million hectares of koala habitat. Yet state-owned logging agency Forestry Corporation has been logging unburnt koala habitat for months. The NSW Government has the power to stop this. Take a stand for koalas. Sign the petition to call on Premier Gladys Berejiklian to stop habitat destruction now >> https://www.nature.org.au/protect-koala-habitat/

01.01.2022 NSW Government has done a marvellous job, leading us towards COVID-19 eradication. If nothing changes in the policy to spoil current trend, and we have 13% less... of new cases each coming day, we could be out of the woods soon!!! By the fifth of May the trend curve indicates that only one case will be left. In reality, the actual number of cases is larger, but in the worse case scenario, in which we are detecting only 10% of cases, this date is still in May!!! Hold on people of NSW and keep social distancing with all your might just a little bit longer! See more
