22.01.2022 And then there is this beautiful triptych - a work created by three artists. Each artist created a quilt that complied with the rules of the challenge. Together, they also comply with the rules. For me the concept of working together is also a reflection of what WFAV does

20.01.2022 Such exciting news! We have some of our sites mapped on Google. If you go to the website https://www.waterforavillage.net/what-weve-done-so-far/ you will see a map of the mountains and the installations we have built mainly in the last three years. There are more than 20 that we still don't have GPS locations for - this is a work in progress. Thanks so much to Sam and Laura for bringing this to life.

20.01.2022 ARE YOU OUR NEWEST BOARD MEMBER? In the last five years, Water For A Village has provided 18,000 people in the north of Ethiopia with all the clean, fresh, water they require. We have a big vision to change and save even more lives by overseeing and funding community-built wells and tankers. ... To do this we are looking for expressions of interest for positions on our voluntary Board. If this is something that interests you, and you would like to be a part of our small and committed team, please click on the link below and have a read of the EOI. Applications close Friday, 4 September 2020. https://www.seek.com.au/job/50402708

17.01.2022 This quilt is called The Ripple Effect . The wells are represented by the grey dots, the water from it is the blue line and the ripples represent the benefits of health, education, stronger community and and escape from poverty that come with water. Love it!

10.01.2022 Peter Wheatley is hosting a Salvos’s SleepOut at home to raise much needed funds for our homeless people and the services The Salvation Army provide. We’ll learn more about homelessness and the services via on-line. Whilst not a W4aV event we believe Charity begins at home, thanks to donors and participants for your continued support of community. #salvossleepout#

09.01.2022 Here’s another quilt made by members of the Tasmanian Modern Quilt Guild. This one made tears fill my eyes when I saw how someone chose to depict our work. It’s so appropriate for the time in which we are living. But unfortunately far too many people in our world don’t have clean water or enough water to help them face the pandemic. Stay safe everyone
