22.01.2022 Appreciation post! We would love to give a big shout out to the #Insurance companies, #Assessing firms and Insurance #Builders that are doing things correctly! This is a common type of claim where cabinetry has been affected by moisture damage and currently also has active (Condition 3) microbial growth. For the safety of the occupants of this property and the other trades that are involved, we have done an initial make safe, which involves us building a containment barrier t...o isolate the kitchen area from the rest of the property, HEPA vacuuming and bio-wiping the loose/visible spores and then leaving the HEPA air scrubber running (to reduce airborne contaminants and to keep negative pressure within the chamber) whilst the builders now safely remove the non-restorable cabinetry without the risk of cross-contaminating unaffected areas of the property. Due to the long term nature of this leak, once the cabinetry has been removed, the containment chamber serves another importance feature - which allows us to structurally dry the affected materials quicker, as all of our drying energies are focused on the materials that need it most. By reducing the size of the drying area, it will allow us to complete our project with a quicker turn around time. #waterdamagerestoration #mouldremediation #insurancerepairs

As a insurance repairer/contractor in the water damage restoration industry, it was interesting listening to the thoughts and pain points of insurers and brokers that provide us with work daily and how things can be adjusted in the future.
