Persons 65 years or older... 2. Children aged 6 months up to Year 6 (Primary School) - This is newly added for 2020. 3. Pregnant women (any trimester) 4. Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and older 5. Individuals 6 months and older with medical conditions that place them at risk for complications of influenza such as Diabetes & Asthma. Eligibility for government funded influenza vaccines in WA in 2020 has expanded to include WA primary school-aged children. 06.01.2022 As of 1st July 2020 there will be changes to the immunisation schedule designed to improve protection against Pneumonia. Who is entitled to the Government funded Pneumonia Immunisation? 1. Adults 70+. 2. Adults (18+) who have been diagnosed with a "risk condition" are entitled to a single dose of the Pneumococcal vaccination then 1 month later a second dose with a booster dose at least 5 years later.... Risk conditions include diabetes, chronic lung disease, chronic cardiac disease, chronic liver disease, chronic renal failure, tobacco smoking, splenectomy or non-functioning spleen, cochlear implants, intracranial shunts and any other immunocompromised conditions.
