24.01.2022 It's well worth a stroll... There's a surprise in store for everyone walking or cycling along the new pathway through Waterlily Park. How lucky we are to share this wonderful, natural landscape with such abundant and interesting bird-life! ... A huge 'thank you' to Byron Bird Buddies for suggesting and providing this wonderful resource. Waterlily Community Playscape Committee

21.01.2022 There's a lot of activity in Waterlily Park today - numbers of trucks, big wooden poles, play elements and a new Fairy Story-telling Chair! There's now safety ...fencing around all the current play elements as well as the BBQ Shelter and it will be there for at least a week. Of course this means there must be no entry to the fenced area. The big wooden poles will support the gumleaf-coloured shade sails that will cover the play equipment. The concrete base for the 'treehouse' structure will be poured within a couple of days so it won’t be too long before children are exploring exactly what it has to offer them. Of course you can still use the new gym, access the toilets, and enjoy the new shared walk/cycleway. We're delighted to see the little kids on their bikes having a ball on the pathway! It's all very exciting! We'll keep you posted!!

18.01.2022 Shade Sails were installed in the Playscape yesterday. Not long now...

18.01.2022 Progress in the Park! This week the new Play Station has taken shape beside the Fort. The all-abilities pathways will provide access to all and soft-fall matti...ng will be laid on the lower level. Parents and carers will be able to keep an eye on their kids from the picnic tables in the BBQ Shelter as well as from the bench seats. Tree Loppers have been removing the dead and white-ant infested trees!
