07.01.2022 Pictures from the Tyndale Farm Fire in Roelands. Located in the Hills behind Burrekup The fire was started by a Lightning strike. A big Thank you to the Followi...ng Services and Brigades Air Support - Spotter Plane and two Helitacs DPAW Three Appliances, a Float and Dozer Harvey Shire Bush Fire Brigades and Dardanup Bush Fire Brigades. Thanks to the Spotter plane tracking the storm cell in our area. Soon after the lightning had struck they had mobilised two Helitacs to work on containing the fire while all the above mentioned Crews mobilised to the scene. The fire was approximately 3-4 hectare but this could of increased to a much bigger size if it was not for the quick response of the Air support and Machinery. See more

It's all part of the Shire of Dardanup's innovative approach this year to community bushfire preparation. Following Keith's stories, DFES officers will offer valuable tips for preparing your property this summer along with other informative speakers on bushfire preparedness. 02.01.2022 Yesterday marked the 5 year anniversary of Yarloop. It was a honour to be apart of the memorial drive through the town. Great turn out from all our local brigades and thank you to the town’s people for your support and waving to us as we went by.
