24.01.2022 Haaaave you met Lauren? Read on and #MeetWaterman's downright awesome Sales Manager. With the changes in work/life balance, we want to put a face to the name because in the end we're all people and really, it's the people that count. Not the glitz. Not the glamour. It's the 'good right down to their core', 'make you laugh so hard you cry' people. So, without further do, meet Lauren...... 1 What do I miss the most about working at a Waterman centre? The social interaction! Grabbing a coffee with the Members, going out for lunch with the team and the regular community events where we all hang out and enjoy each other’s company. 2 What did I take for granted when I was still travelling to work? Having time to think about my day ahead before arriving at the office. Feeling structured with my morning routine. I do miss singing in the car!! 3 What will I do differently when I get back to the office? I will create a better work/life balance starting with going for walks on my lunch breaks. It’s amazing how much more productive and stress-free you are when you schedule time to take a break and go for a nice walk. What do you miss the most about being at #Waterman? We are all guilty of neglecting our websites, but reviewing your website performance is vital to your businesses success. You can start by installing tracking software [we use HotJar and swear by it] which helps you quickly analyse web traffic without drowning in numbers. Ultimately you wan...t to make optimisations to your website based on behaviours that will turn browsers into customers. TIP 2: Own your customer data Your job should be to collect your customer's contact information. Nobody can take away data stored by you. Funnel everyone from Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, wherever, and get them on your email and text message lists. As we witnessed in 2020 you could loose your followers in a flash so don't risk it. Own it. TIP 3: Customer experience survey When is the last time you ran a customer survey? Customer surveys are a potent and valuable tool which can help you improve your product, your service, and the overall customer experience leading to more sales and happier customers. Isn't that the ultimate goal, a profitable business with satisfied customers? We think so.

This time can already be stressful enough and so we want to open up our doors and extend a hand to all Victorian residents who are affected by recent floods and need a temporary place to work. Come in to one of our centres completely free of charge where you’ll have access to electricity, super-fast internet and everything else y...ou need to tide you over for the coming weeks. So come in to our Caribbean Park centre in Scoresby (or another centre if you prefer), just bring some ID with you and we’ll get you back to work in no time! One positive that has come out of COVID for me: It's been great for family bonding time and a much deeper love for hiking. What am I watching on Netflix? I quit Netflix! Instead, I’ve started learning to paint and to play the trumpet! What do I miss most about being at a Waterman Centre? Awesome conversations with awesome people, the atmosphere, the buzz, the table tennis tournaments, all the events and the constant hi-5’s! Go-to coffee order? I don’t drink coffee (don’t shoot me), it’s hot chocolate (lol)!
