24.01.2022 What a busy and awesome weekend I've had! Spent time treating some regular horses and also some new horses! Meet Toffee, Jack, Chelsea & Perky. Also meet little Mouse who is a 40 year old gorgeous little boy and best friend to Floss! Finished up with Rock Star Denzel who is an amazing stallion just as the thunderstorms started! 23.01.2022 Happy February everybody! Wow I can not believe that we are already a week into February it has been such a busy start to the year! I am so pleased to report that my special 2 for 1 offer in January has allowed so many people to try out Equissage for their horses and the results have been so fantastic for them I am so booked up for ongoing treatments! Although February is booked and busy I would like to extended the offer to customers.........weekend spaces only left!! So h...ere is the offer for you all again....... For $30, two horses will be given a 45 minute treatment each, including back pad, hand held and leg boots. (both horses must be at the same location and treated at the same time). 22.01.2022 Another Gizmo update! I was due to bring Gizmo home a few days ago but we had a minor set back the day before he was due to be discharged with Gizmo developing some inflammation in his bowel. My poor boy has been back on IV fluids and antibiotics for a few days and I am so glad he has responded so well he should be off the fluids tomorrow and fingers crossed home with me mid week! His staples were removed and his surgical wound has healed perfectly! I know he is missing home so much and his paddock mates are missing him, I take him grass from home every day when I visit and he loves munching into it! Lots of love to Gizmo xxx Em

21.01.2022 Hi Everyone! I've had a few enquiries from some customers about farm pet sitting so thought I'd let you all know......yes I am available for pet sitting for any farm animals and horses. I have my pet first aid certificate and I am well experienced in looking after all large and small breeds! I do not stay overnight.....my visits are during the day and include feeding, water clean and fill, medication if required and social time with all the pets! I carry a pet first aid ki...t with me at all times and I am able to identify injuries and illness and call and wait for the vet when necessary. I even recently assisted in the birthing of a foal! I am currently booked just over a month in advance but will have spots available over the Easter break should anybody want to make a booking. Send me a private message for more details! 19.01.2022 Hi everyone, Happy New Year!!! On January 1st my mare Penny turned 20!!!!!! She had a very good day with extra food and treats and a pampering Equissage!!! 18.01.2022 Hi everyone! Late to update you all but happy so say Gizmo came home earlier this week and is doing very well! He is on stable rest and getting much needed extra care and TLC!! I am hoping to be able to take appointments again sometime in the next few weeks, I will keep you all posted! 14.01.2022 Hi Everyone! It has been so long since my last post I have been so busy caring for Gizmo post surgery time has just gone by so quickly! I am so happy to tell you all that Gizmo is recovering very well, thank goodness! But it has been such a long process and he has required a lot of attention, special feed, light exercise and of course regular Equissage treatments! I was so glad last week when he was able to start his paintings again which he loves to do! He still has a way ...to go with gaining weight and muscle but I am working with him every day! SPECIAL OFFER!! I have had so many people enquiring about booking in for their Equissage treatments and I am sorry if I have not yet been able to fit you in! I would like to put up a special offer with the hope that I can get as many treatments done for you all as possible! 04.01.2022 Hi All, I am sorry I have had to cancel some Equissage appointments but here is why. It has been a tough few days for me and thank goodness he is ok but my boy Gizmo fell really sick with colic on Wednesday night and had to go to surgery on Thursday. I came home Wednesday and fed buckets to all my horses and shortly after Gizmo went down in pain. I called our regular vet, Tanya from Windarra Park Vet Clinic in Hahndorf, who was just fantastic and came out around dinner time,... diagnosed straight away that Gizmo needed to be taken to a surgical hostpial due to an obstruction in his bowel and organised for Gizmo to be admitted, all the while we hooked him up to IV fliuds and pain killers, and Tanya and her vet nurse Alana helped me float him down to Morphetville Vet Hospital in the middle of the night! I can not thank them both enough for the wonderful care and help they provided, they really went over and above to support me and Gizmo! Such an emotional time, Gizmo was not a good surgical candidate as he has Cushing's Syndrome and also a significant heart murmur, the vets at Morphetville tried all day Thursday to treat Gizmo medically to move the obstruction without success and he went into surgery around 4pm. You have no idea how relieved I was to hear the vet on the phone at around 7pm letting me know he was awake and the surgery had gone well. He is still very unwell as he has had major surgery and a large cut on his belly, but he is stronger than we thought and is looking better and brighter everyday so we are positive for a speedy recovery! They expect Gizmo could be in hospital for anything from 5 days to 2 weeks! I can not thank the vets and vet nurses and everyone at the Morphetville Vet Hospital enough for their wonderful care and expertise. They are also all so nice and welcoming every time you visit and you know they really love the horses in their care it feels a little easier to leave each day knowing they are looking after Gizmo so well. I can not stress enough to everyone, at the first signs of colic call your vet! Early treatment was the key to a successful outcome for Gizmo! I have already contacted all customers by phone that I had booked in this weekend and early next week as I have had to cancel and I will slowly make my way through and cancel any other bookings I have for this month as I am visiting at the hospital every day and Gizmo will be needing my care when he comes home. I will be able to take bookings again in August. I am sorry to everybody who I have had to cancel an appointment with, this was so unexpected. Hope you can all send some positive thoughts for Gizmo in his recovery! x See more

04.01.2022 Just thought I would give you all an update on Gizmo! I am so happy to say he is doing very well! He has come off his IV fluids and meds which means no more tubes attached up to him. He is eating and drinking and even going for little walks. He is so much brighter every day when I see him! He will be in hospital for observation until his staples are removed next week on Thursday and then I can bring him home! Please keep sending Gizmo all your best wishes! x Em

02.01.2022 Happy Australia Day to everybody, hope you are all enjoying this great holiday with family and friends! It has been a great month, so busy with Equissage treatments it has been fantastic to see such great results on the horses I have treated and I am so happy to see so many booked in for follow up treatments! I have also been very busy this month farm pet sitting! I have had a great time with the horses, goats, sheep, lambs, cows and chickens that I have been feeding and spending time with!

01.01.2022 Something I wanted to share with you all, I recently read article about different kinds of horse therapy and somebody had suggested that their horse would paint regularly as a form of therapy after becoming sick! I thought this may be a good idea for my mare Penny as she is no longer able to be ridden due to an old pelvic injury. As it turned out Penny wanted nothing to do with the paints and brushes but my boy Gizmo could not get enough of it! Here is a photo of him with his third painting........what a great way to spend time with your horses other than riding! PS paints need to be home made and non-toxic! I will keep you all updated with Gizmo's masterpieces!
