12.01.2022 Mid-Western Regional Council is partnering with Watershed Landcare to redistribute trees to bushfire affected residents, to assist in revegetating their properties following the devastating summer fires that destroyed 255,000Ha. Eligible landholders can apply to receive 40 native trees each, which will be grown in Landcare's new greenhouse. Expressions of interest close Friday, August 21. 09.01.2022 The Watershed Landcare Nursery has grown in size and is taking orders for 2021. The Watershed Nursery is staffed entirely by volunteers - not only does that mean you get a good deal, but it also means all proceeds go straight back into your local environment. Native grasses, shrubs and trees are available and are grown to order from locally collected seed, meaning they're perfect for our tough conditions! Grab an order form at this link or contact us for more details. https://watershedlandcare.com.au/nursery-sales/

06.01.2022 There's a couple of threatened species in our region that don't have names. Have you got a suggestion?

03.01.2022 Our September gathering of our Women in Ag COP had a picnic with the purple pea aka Swainsona recta. The threatened species is found in a number of locations around Mudgee and our members took the opportunity last week to learn more about the species. CTLLS Land Services Officer and project manager, Evelyn Nicholson showed us how to identify the species, its characteristics and habitat as well as the efforts being undertaken to save the species. After a tough couple of years, the plants are flowering and have good seed set. Keep an eye out for it at your place.

03.01.2022 Planning to plant but not sure what goes where? Or where to get them from! This handy re-vegetation guide should do the trick! It allows you to find plants for your locality you live in and then match it with where in the landscape you want to put them! http://watershedlandcare.com.au//NativeSpeciesRevegetation
