"The red ro...cks found along the coast from Merimbula south to Green Cape are what’s known as Devonian Mudstone. A sedimentary rock formed during the Devonian period 360-420 million years ago. During this time an expansion of plant life was sucking carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and increasing levels of oxygen.
